I could care less what Mexico's leaders think or say, or for that matter what popular opinion there is, in ANY case. Just don't give a rats pink arse.
You are dead on, and have a clear understanding of how Mexico operates. There would have either been big reform or a major revolution in Mexico years ago if they did not have the U.S. to send their poor too so they would not rise against the corrupt system.

Mexico has some extremely wealthy elite people who feel they have earned that right by birth and no one else is entitled to gain status or wealth. They do a great job at protecting their status- no mingling of classes or marrying up in Mexico. The system doesn’t even force the rich to contribute to the infastructure- the rich keep all their money to spend, the majority of taxes they do pay go into the pockets of other elite (corrupt gov’t officials). Spending the money on infastructure would create jobs for the poor that would allow them to get ahead. That is why Mexico appears to be a poor country. Mexico is not a poor country; they have an abundance of natural resources- they just refuse to do anything that might upset their class structure.
This is why all efforts on the part of the U.S. to help Mexico have failed miserably. The elite simply pocket the money or take other resources we give them. When we attempt to help the poor in Mexico we are only further lining the pockets of the rich- there is no trickle down in Mexico, everything is closely held at the top.
There are really only two classes in Mexico, the rich and the poor; their system does not allow for a middle class. Poor people in Mexico are really limited as to what they can do to gain status or wealth- realistically the only way they can gain wealth is through illegal activities- and they have to pay off and keep the elite happy or they can’t even do that. The system is very discriminatory and centers on racism- against the usually darker skinned Mestizo or mixed race people that make up the poor class. They simply do not care what happens to their poor- they can starve in the streets for all they care- that is why they encourage the poor to come to the U.S. it is an easy way for them to deal with their poor. By allowing illegals to come here we are only enabling the elite in Mexico- to keep their system the way they like it.
US citizens should file lawsuits against Mexico for its gross negligence that has resulted in a immigration debacle for the US.
POINTS TO PONDER Mexico is the wealthy oil-producing neighbor of the US that throws its poor residents over the US border to become wards of the US, to take US jobs, and to send money back into Mexico's coffers.
Mexico is a satrap -- a government-of-the wealthy, that has no welfare safety nets, no health insurance for its people and no Social Security System.
AND GET THIS: US taxpayers provide the nuclear umbrella to protect Mexico, so they have no real defense expenses. The next US president MUST end our generosity to the ungrateful Mexican government. America must let Calderone know that we will cut off every penny in aid he gets from the United States.
The government of Mexico---with all of its oil revenue----needs to be taking care of its own people, not "outsourcing' them as wards of American taxpayers. Mexico can well-afford it.
The immigrant-illegal con game is so predictable: They whine about coming here b/c they want only to get "menial jobs" to help out their poverty-stricken families in "underdeveloped countries."
Then, before you can say "hasta la vista, baby," working class born-American taxpayers are footing the bills for immigrants' medical needs, welfare, food stamps, housing, all levels of schooling including college, child care, maternity benefits, and so on.
Taxpayers are subsidizing immigrants' daily food intake, housing, reduced mortgages, free medical, education, reduced in-state tuition and out of state tuition fees. We also foot the legal bills when they start suing if we don't provide these goodies pronto.
Lastly, and more ominous, is that they become hyphenated voting blocs, demanding representation in the US Congress, state legislatures and beyond so that they can get even more government benefits. They bring with them their utter contempt for our efforts to maintain a civilied society under our Constitution.

Mexico has more "Forbes" billionaires, 11, than all but eight other nations. It has more billionaires than Saudi Arabia, Switzerland or Taiwan. It also has more than 85,000 millionaires. According to a CNN report, Mexico sits on oil reserves worth about $400 billion, but Mexico's state-owned oil company, Pemex, doesn't have the investment funds to tap those reserves, and Mexico's Congress refuses to allow foreign investment in Pemex. However, some observers say this is due to Mexican gov't corruption, and the obsession to line their own pockets.
Adding insult to injury American taxpayers are subsidizing foreign aid transfers to Mexico. According to Visa International--which is now clamoring for a share of the transfer fees--American money sent South of the Border by illegals constitutes $50 BILLION this year alone constituting Mexico's second largest most profitable industry.
God knows where this money is derived: government fraud, welfare fraud, IRS fraud, drug deals, ID theft, etc.
America MUST mandate proof for all cash transfers out of the US and/or force all transferring agencies -- banks, credit unions, Amex, Western Union to collect a substantial withholding tax -- 50%, say -- on every unexplained foreign remittance.
Americans have had it. The unmitigated contempt this banana republic has for America, and for tax-paying Americans, cannot go unchallenged.
I know of a U.S. District Judge who was appointed to the Federal Bench, by President Reagan, and unanimously confirmed by the Senate, in about 1985. He sometimes tells the story that shortly after he became a Federal Judge he visited Mexico as part of some sort of international judicial systems exchange program. While speaking informally to a group of leading Mexican jurists he was asked how he, a relatively young man of Mexican heritage, had been risen to be a Federal Judge, with lifetime tenure. With what he intended to be self-depracating humor, he said that his mother had worked as a maid in Los Angeles, and that he was the illegitimate son of Ronald Reagan.
None of the Mexican dignitaries present laughed, or even batted an eye, they just nodded sagely. That Ronald Reagan would make an important appointment based not on what was best for th ecountry, but to provide for a bastard son by giving him a prestigious lifetime job on the Federal payroll, and that the United States Senate would go along with it without protest, or even comment, made perfect sense to them -- it was how things worked in Mexico.
It is indeed how things work in Mexico, I come in contact with a few of Mexico’s elite regularly at work and they do not comprehend our way of doing things at all. Why let the “little people” get ahead, or help them out in any way- it simply makes no sense to them.
Well I don't think the hate is coming from the raids. I think it might be coming from the invasion that is taking place.
It's important to focus our anger where it belongs. We should not be angry at the illegals. Rather, the fault lies squarely on the shoulders of the American politicians who, to all intents and purposes have been, for decades, telling the illegals, "Come on over. There are good jobs and houses. Sure, it's illegal but we're going to make it as easy on you as we can. You pretend to be legal and we'll pretend to enforce the borders. Oh, and just ignore the yahoos who want border security. We don't listen to them anyway."
The McCains, Kennedys, Grahams, Clintons and Bushes have all actively created an enormous mess. When someone tries to repair the damage, they call us rascist.

Actually, we just may be supporting discrimination by allowing illegals to live here - they need to return or be returned to their own country and support an effort to change things - without an middle class, nothing can happen that will be good for poor people - it’s the same thing we are asking of people in Iran and Iraq - step up, we cannot continue to support the world. We need help.
