I’m leaving this in bn for now, in a nod to our Canadian comrades-at-arms. None of the other Mods or Jim are awake yet, we had a 40lb turkey and finished off a case and a half of Lafite (thanks, pres. Sarkozy!) last night. I just decided to get up early for a swim and the first crack at the masseuse. Don’t forget to donate to FR, everyone!
I heard the Beluga and truffles were pretty tasty too!
Thank you- I ( and our Canadian compatriots ) greatly appreciate that.
bttt
40 pounds ? That must’ve been some bird !
Hooray for Sarko. Im so glad the boycott is over. With the Holidays and everything the timing is perfect.

I don’t think I have ever been more impressed with a mod’s post. My hat is off to you. By contrast. I got up this morning as my wife was going off to shop and the most energetic thing I could do was say “I never want to eat again.”
I am so envious!
I woke up to a sink full of dirty dishes and a sick kid.
Oh well, enjoy the weekend!
I was the first one up here too after a sumptous meal last night of grilled cheese sandwiches and Campbell’s Beef soup with Vegetables; got up to go outside in the freezing cold and get the paper to read in the garage, heated only by a single Walmart quartz tube heater.
I washed my face in what was left of last night’s dishwater and sat down here after my wife and daughter went to buy half-off store brand diapers for the baby.
Just counting my blessings. :)
