Ron Paul raises $9 million in 2 months

In another sign of Rep. Ron Paul's online fundraising prowess, the Republican presidential candidate from Texas said in a TV interview Friday that he has raised more than $9 million during the past two months and expects to raise a total of at least $12 million for the fourth quarter.

Paul, speaking on Bloomberg Television's "Political Capital with Al Hunt," said he considers his recent fundraising success "astounding."

He added that his campaign plans another "special" fundraising day Dec. 16. On Nov. 5, Paul supporters raised $4.3 million, one of the biggest single-day showings of any candidate in history.

As to the UN votes, Ron Paul does not believe that the UN should exist, or if it does that the United States should be part of it. Any vote which concedes or implies moral authority to the UN is wrong. Ron Paul's votes are morally and constitutionally correct.

I neither know nor care why Kucinich voted the way that he did.

From what I have heard, his campaign staffers are a bunch of bumbling idiots. Here was a story about that by our resident token “Republican” columnist in the Democratic People’s Republic of NJ who endorsed Ron Paul..

Members of the public, whether right-wing or left-wing, tend to believe that the members of the press are conspiring to suppress their views. In some instances this may be true, but this case provides a textbook study in how politicians, through their own incompetence, can bungle media coverage.

I found that out when I attended the rally to look for possible material for future columns. The bungling began when I showed up for what I had been told by Paul’s staff was a press conference set for 12:15 at a hotel near the rally site. There was a nice room with a podium and even coffee on the side. One thing was missing, though: The press. I expected to see 20 or 30 reporters, but there were only two.

Maybe the others were on their way, I figured. Nope. At about 12:20, Paul’s campaign chairman, Kent Snyder, abruptly informed us that there would be no press conference and that we should clear out so the candidate could meet with some contributors. When the journalists tried to ask the candidate a few questions, Snyder rudely interrupted them.

Stop the flip-flopping and try to stick to one logically consistent and factually accurate position.

Is it your position that Ron Paul has good ideas but lacks the leadership ability to see them implemented? That would at least be a respectable opinion which could be honestly debated.

Or is it your position that Ron Paul has bad ideas which you are grateful have never been implemented, and you are determined to continue to work ato keep his ideas from becoming reality?

Hmmm $9 million /2300.00 per person = about 4,000 donors. Assuming 1% of his supporters donated, that come out to be about 4,000,000

That means Paul is only 60,000,000 votes short of winning the Presidency.

9 Million, great for him. The campaigns goal was to raise 12 Million in the 4Q. According to “daily RP graph”, they may end up with 17 Million.

I know the supporter who was responsible for setting up the Nov 5th fundraiser was hoping to raise 10 million in one day. Well, 4.2M may not be 10M, but it sure made for a great day.

I also noticed that RP has 20K plus supporters signed up for the 16th of Dec. Sure would like them to surpass the 5th of Nov., amount. Should be a fun day.

In the long run, Howard had a bigger political impact than Kerry. His supporters took over the apparatus of the Democratic Party. It is highly unlikely that Paul will win the GOP nomination, but if his followers stick it out they can have a long term political influence.

If Ron Paul is a liberal RINO, isn’t it GOOD to have him in the primary? If he really is a liberal RINO, he should mostly be drawing votes away from other liberal RINOs, helping the “true conservatives.”

The reality is that the rank and file got suckered by the most liberal President this country has had since LBJ. But rather than admit that we got duped, many folks are trying to convince everyone that up is down, left is right and spending tax money like a drunken Kennedy is “conservative.”

And THAT is why a third-tier candidate with zero chance of the nomination is the top target of Freepers. Nobody with the slightest understanding of politics is worried about Ron Paul actually winning the nomination. People ARE worried about him getting Republicans to ask questions, though. They are worried that Ron Paul might expose the fact that the GOP has almost literally stolen the Dems play book for the last 7 years.

Now, this is what I find about Pauls military service....He was DRAFTED and NEVER served in Viet nam.
