I watch FNS EVERY Sunday and Chris frequently does this, no matter if he is interviewing a lib or a conservative. Although I loved Tony Snow on FNS, I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I like Chris Wallace. He looks quite a bit like his father, but he is decidedly less liberal than Mike is. If you watched every Sunday instead of just when he has a guest you particularly like, you would pick up on this for yourself. I make myself suffer through Hillary, Nancy, Chuckie, and even worse to stay informed. In order to live up to their "Fair and Balanced" reputation, FOX has to ask tough questions of both sides. Fred may have intentionally overreacted a little in order to show that he does have some "fire in his belly" and is serious about his desire to be POTUS.

If the Freepers think that FOX has "gone over to the other side", spend two minutes (or less) watching ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, PBS, etc. I think that some of the FOX commentators may have a "soft spot" for Rudy simply because of his actions during 9-11. I think "Campaign Carl" does try his best to be impartial, but, if his wife is really a part of Hillary's campaign, he should either disclose that or not report on her campaign. Nina Easton, who fills in for Myra from time to time on SRWBH, always mentions that her husband works for a Republican (Romney, I think) if his name comes up in the discussion.

As luck would have it, I just now saw the clips that Chris showed today. (I DVRed the show while I was at SS and church.) The one by Charles Krauthammer is obviously wrong. He is a brilliant man, but I think that he has been relying on what the MSM has reported about Fred's ideas rather than researching them for himself. IMO, Fred has outlined more detailed plans than any other candidate, Democrat or Republican, in the race.

This is apparently news to everyone, but Fox News is not the media arm of the Republican party.

No, they are just the media arm of the Teddy Kennedy Wing of the Republican Party. As for the rest of us Republicans, we have no voice in the whoredom commonly referred to as the MSM, and that is not necessarily a bad thing.

I just watched FoxNews Sunday for a second time and was quite impressed with the “fire in his belly” for his positions. I belive he had to fight to make every point he wanted to make and Chris seemed to want to negate any success in the campaign.

I have to agree that FoxNews commentators have certainly made up their minds the FRED will never get the nomination. If you have watched FoxNews for long, you will know that these commentators have certainly been wrong in the past and they are wrong this time. The Weekly Standard wrote a glowing article on FRED’s proposals in Social Security, Immigration, Expansion of the Military, and now Economic reforms. He has set the standard by which the other candidates should be forced to meet.

I just want to be there when they are forced to eat crow! FRED THOMPSON will be our candidate.

I watched the show this morning, and I didn’t blame Mr. Thompson one bit for firing back at Wallace and Fox.

Fox has morphed into just another run of the mill network, not a true voice for even handed news...how many times have they had opportunities to ask pertinent questions of people in the news, and let them off with puff ball questions?

Fox was pretty darned good when they started out, and I, like a lot of others became hooked on it...but as the years have gone by they have become not much more than a tabloid network...spending hour upon hour covering so called celebrity stupidity etc.

And this morning, for them to choose to show a clip of good old boy Fred Barnes criticizing Mr. Thompson...well in my opinion that was the last straw...Mr.Barnes has gotten .....well, I can’t come up with a word to describe the change in his personality over the past couple of years...maybe writing his book about Pres. Bush, and coming to the President’s defense over the past couple years has taken its toll...I just know he is no longer the man I used to enjoy watching and listening to.

I can’t imagine this will hurt the Thompson campaign or turn off his supporters..in my mind it may have been a very good thing....and by the way, no I’ve not decided who I am backing in the next election....

“if nominated, is not elected.

Period.”

so you would vote for Hillary? Because that couldn’t mean anything else.

I have resolved to proudly vote AGAINST Rudy Giuliani every chance I get. If Rudy gets nominated, the GOP will be destroyed. The GOP might very well finisth third.

So, if Rudy is nominated, will you pledge to support a third party candidate so that we can be united to defeat Hillary?
