Disarming law-abiding citizens does not protect law-abiding citizens.
If Talyor had been armed with a firearm instead of a machete, he'd probably still be alive right now...
People like this articles author are either insane, stupid, or outright evil.

Hey... He had a machete I heard....
W BTW, what was that saying about the first rule in a gunfight...?
I wonder if he was forbidden to legally own a gun because of past crimes...

She doesen't know squat about gun stuff, but did you mention Black Sexuality?! Because she's an EXPERT on that
subject!

But then I still believe in Santa Claus. But apparently not the Constitution of the United States, or that of Illinois for that matter.
ARTICLE I, SECTION 22. RIGHT TO ARMS:
Subject only to the police power, the right of the individual citizen to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

You might recall that last year his house was raided by police, who reportedly found six guns and 500 rounds of ammunition -- with two young children present. Only 6 guns - and, worse, only 500 rounds of ammo for them? What a wimp!! I've got more of the former, and LOTS more of the latter - and I also have 2 kids.
Guess what - none of my guns has ever jumped up, loaded itself and started threatening me or mine. That's what pussified liberal anti-gunners (but I repeat myself) seem to believe or be afraid of, but that has exactly ZERO to do with reality.

“Among the viable candidates, Fred Thompson is the strongest supporter of the Second Amendment.
Fred in ‘08!”
I agree! I do expect the NRA to endorse Fred. Do you have any idea when the NRA may come out and endorse? Seems to me they would do it before the first primary or caucus, since it is obvious they would support the Republican nominee against ANY Democrat nominee. They should come out NOW and support the Republican candidate of their choice! Any I am sure it will be Fred Thompson! GO FRED! :)

I hope it will be fairly soon. It would mean a lot to Fred’s campaign, I think. :)

Depends on who you think is "viable". Of all the candidates, only the "Kookie Uncle" Ron Paul is 100% on RKBA issues. Next up is Duncan Hunter.
Fred, in his Senate run, wasn't even as strong an RKBA supporter as the liberal RINO Huckabee was as governor. Fred's come around recently though, which is why he's my #2 pick for POTUS.
Duncan Hunter is still my #1.

Take away our guns and only the criminals will have them. When will these dingbats ever see that? (I won’t hold my breath.)

Some will never get right. So we if do what the columnist wants the country will be overwhelmed by armed thugs. There will be a huge black market for arms. We learned a similar thing from the Volstead Act.

When will these dingbats ever see that? They see it they just don't care. Gun control isn't about cause and effect and certainly NOT about making people safer. It's a form of religion to them. If it fails its goals (and it always fails its stated goals) then it isn't that the fundmental idea is flawed, but it's that "they didn't go far enough" If some gun control (like in Wash DC) causes the murder rate to rise, it isn't the fault of gun control, it's the fault of those people in the surrounding areas who didn't embrace gun control (despite the fact that their murdr rates dropped)
Don't look for logic from a gun control advocate. It's something that they are incapable of.
