Ummmm when Japan attacked China we didn’t get involved! We merely stopped selling them oil and they attacked us. We had pilots essentially defending interests in China but we didn’t attack Japan, and never went on the offensive. It wasn’t enough for them that they conquered most of Asia.

Frankly, the U.S. is at fault even when they’re attacked in Pearl Harbor, or civilians were attacked on 9-11, nevermind Vietnam, Iraq and Korea. BTW, Korea was a U.N. effort, not that it matters in your world.

And I think you could revisit the OAS and other treaties the U.S. signed over the years.

As far as one loss and one draw...you left out Afghanistan, Cuba, Panama, Grenada and several others. But you only keep count from your insane America is baaaaaad perspective...

As far as I can tell we won some & we lost some but to assert communism was Wilson’s fault and that had the U.S. simply stayed home, communism wouldn’t even exist in the form we recognize it...?

WOW!

Wilson was to blame for Hitler AND Lenin...now THAT’s a first!

Sheesh why not throw in Imperial Japan? Hell, why stop there...perhaps there’s some interplanetary war several galaxies away Wilson and America are to blame for too???

Well, you ARE right, we sure wouldn’t recognize communism, THAT much is surely true indeed! In fact, I’m sure it wouldn’t be an issue for us at all! We’d all drive the same car, live in the same flat, make the same income...and not even be aware of it indeed!

And one would think by now the hawks that continually advocate getting involved in issues that are none of our concern would have learned. But you don’t do you? Nope, let’s just hobble over to another nation and spread some ‘democracy’ on it. After all they really want it, they just don’t know it yet.

This is the kind of thinking that gives Ru Paul zero chance. This was addressed several posts ago, and yet you still don’t have an answer how it is Rummy threatened to pull U.S. bases from Germany and insert them into Poland and the Germans came unglued.

Sorry, with all her faults the U.S. still isn’t the bad guy here. And total isolationism has never worked and never will. Bad people will always try to impose their will on the weak. Like I said it would be nice if the U.N. had a spine or other countries were more moral, but they’re not.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing-————Edmund Burke.

Ummm don't know what history books you've been reading but that is one facet of a very hot trade war. In the past (pre-Wilson) neutral countries sold materials to both sides of the battle discretely or nothing at all. But in this case that's not what the US did is it? No, they favored the English and hurt the Japanese. A clear demarcation to the Japanese which side we were supporting. Also consider the Japanese were not necessarily unfriendly to the US and not necessarily friendly to the Germans until the late, late 1930s. But FDR chose this path years before didn't he?

In the past some nations would see that as an act of war.

As far as one loss and one draw...you left out Afghanistan, Cuba, Panama, Grenada and several others. But you only keep count from your insane America is baaaaaad perspective...

I was speaking of declared wars where thousands of US lives were lost. We'll not even bother with propping up banana republics only to claim their hostility to our nation when they nationalize major industrial operations that belong to US companies. The list for that is too long.

Wilson was to blame for Hitler AND Lenin...now THAT’s a first!

Actually it's not. Over the past few decades it's something that is beginning to be addressed and looked at in depth. As I said (which you apparently missed) pick up Jim Powell's book on the matter. Mr. Powell is a member still of the CATO Institute IIRC, a interventionist (which should thrill you to no end) libertarian thinktank in DC.

Unfathomable...

dude Japan was seriously SERIOUSLY in violation of any sane rational person’s idea of huamn rights violations in the early 30’s.

Curious how you’re always on ME about reading and history books! I have a suspicion you’re a product of the ever failing NEA liberal blame America first public school agenda! Ever hear of the “Rape of Nanking” circa 1931? OF COURSE the U.S. would “pick” G.B. over Japan. Do you simply not get that Japan was a belligerent criminal militant society?

Sheesh....how DARE the U.S. to choose those Brits over us? All we’ve done is experiment on human subjects in China, rape and murder hundreds of thousands of Chinese for absolutely no reason!

And “trade wars”, if that’s what you want to call them are vary different from shooting wars.

I was speaking of declared wars where thousands of US lives were lost.

Ahhhh....moving the goal posts again...so it wasn’t REALLY about communism vs. the West, but only about declared wars now...OK...LOL

Wilson was to blame for Hitler AND Lenin...now THAT’s a first!

Actually it’s not.

Yes it is...I was talking about a first for me.

I have no doubt psychotic blame America first types could see their way clear to pin all the world’s ills on America, sure!

And I’m still waiting for you to tell us what would happen in the middle east if the U.S. simply packed up the tents and came back home!

You know, play the obvious out for us...

World peace will just break out no doubt????

Rumor has it Baghdad Bob has quit his job working for the DNC and now is working for Ron Paul. It also might be true that you might be trying to reason with him.
