However, "down" can also mean "in custody"
Colorado, land of “gun-control.” Why am I not surprised.

New report - shots heard north of the church in last few minutes. Uh Oh!
No doubt one of these guys who says “Imagine no religion.”
Someone else declaring war on Christians.
PER FOX NEWS: IED FOUND!!!
The church they were shot at is the one Ted Haggard started.
Time to give this the 24 hour rule for the facts to start to come out. This sounds like it was up towards the Air Force Academy part of time. Retired from the Air Force after 4 years in Colorado Springs. Prayers to the victims and their families.
Why, oh why, is one of the keywords for this thread is : goldencompasskiller ?
They have an online report saying unconfirmed reports are that 3 of victims are young girls
PRayers up and Bump!

I hope they kill him or he commits suicide. Save the taxpayers some money.
bkmark
They list his age as 23 here.
Press conference in Colorado Springs by police chief of CSPD at 10 pm MST... What where originally feared to be IEDs were just smoke bombs.
I’ve been off my PC since this began, but I think appropriate headlines for this story may be...
“CHRISTIANS GUNNED DOWN IN COLORADO”
or
“CHRISTIANS ATTACKED IN COLORADO”
The talk of attacks on “religious sites” reflects a secular bias of the MSM that started with AP itself no doubt.
The Associated Press becomes “the Bible” of news writers and producers in this situation. They spit out the info and anchors read it instantly on radio and TV. We see the AP copy online.
If another group such as “Muslims” were involved it would have been spun from the beginning as an attack on “Muslims.”
I’ve NOT read this thread yet, and no I’m not going to read it. I live here, and I’m going to report what *I* know from local news, first hand experience and witnesses here.
1) A man attacked a Mission/church location early in the day. A description of a “White Male in his 20s, armed with a rifle, and dressed in a long black coat” went out over the airwaves.
2) in that attack two people were shot and killed. A man and a woman. The suspect fled the scene. The Mission was a youth outreach program... “To convert Muslims to Christianity”. (This fact was reported on Channel 13 last night).
3) A few hours later, a gunman walked into the foyer of the church in Colorado Springs, and started spraying bullets into the people. Last report I heard this morning said five people were hit. One died last night in Penrose Hospital.
4) An off-duty Colorado Springs Police Officer, a female, who was on duty as a security guard approached the man and “by the book” took him down. (That means she told him she was a police officer, he put her in danger, she shot him...)
5) APPARENTLY she was carrying A CONCEALED WEAPON.
6) Description of the man... “white male, in his 20s, wearing a long, black coat and carrying a rifle”.
Police are commenting this morning that there “certainly could be a connection with the shootings, however, until we finish the investigation we’re not going to say this is a definite”.
At this point, it’s my belief this was the same guy in both shootings, in two different locations nearly 90 miles apart.
That’s what I know, what I have gotten from local news and witnesses.
The lady that shot him is a hero. She stopped many more from dying.
