Aide: Candidate to take money and 'try to spread the message of freedom'

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul has received a $500 campaign donation from a white supremacist, and the Texas congressman doesn't plan to return it, an aide said Wednesday.

Don Black, of West Palm Beach, recently made the donation, according to campaign filings. He runs a Web site called Stormfront with the motto, "White Pride World Wide." The site welcomes postings to the "Stormfront White Nationalist Community."

A nazi became $500 poorer is how I read it.

Don't point out facts like that. Or Dr. Paul's very simple explanation (well at least to those that think for themselves, what does that tell you about the 'faithful'?) to Neil Cavuto. As I said on the other thread, I would like to take a moment to thank Fixed News for their continued attempts to slur a good man, and what for years would be considered a good conservative.

But he wasn't invited to the Tweedledee/Tweedledum dance. And since they can't actually find anything on Dr. Paul they're digging for any mud (even if it doesn't make any sense) to try to stick to him. Fix has chosen its candidate to push and Dr. Paul is getting in the way. His simple message of liberty and freedom has brought down St. Rudy, now it's getting in the way of Tax Hike Mike and Arthur Branch..and they just can't have that.

That's odd, since you're backing the truther, anti-war Sheehan crap, candidate... pal.

I'll join you in denouncing Paul if any evidence materializes that his official campaign is aligning with Truthers and anti-war leftists.

Or did you think the Kossacks were spamming every Jihad Ron poll under the sun because they gotten wise to the notion of limited government?

Previously apathetic people aren't allowed to participate in the political process?

Obama keesp donations from the “black separatist” church that he belongs to. I see no difference.

Is Barack Obama’s Church Racist?
From the Trinity United Church of Christ web site:

Trinity United Church of Christ adopted the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981. We believe in the following 12 precepts and covenantal statements. These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. They must reflect on the following concepts:

Commitment to God
Commitment to the Black Community
Commitment to the Black Family
Dedication to the Pursuit of Education
Dedication to the Pursuit of Excellence
Adherence to the Black Work Ethic
Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect
Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness”
Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the Black Community
Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting Black Institutions
Pledge allegiance to all Black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System Personal commitment to embracement of the Black Value System.

Unfortunately, the Republicans are the political group (out of the Democrats and Republicans) to which these racists flock. Many of them also call themselves Christians (as some of them may be).

You could point to 'minority' racists tending toward the Democrats, but as have stated before, European racism and 'minority' racism are usually two separate things.

As the title, one keyword, and many of the comments hear point out, European racists tend to believe they are more advanced in some ways than other 'races.' This is the case for a few 'minority' racists, but not most.

Most of them view Europeans as not morally or intellectually beneath them, but instead harbor undue resentment toward the entire group based on insults--perceived or actual--which they believe European descendants subject members of their 'race' to.

Surely all of the freepers who act as if La Raza, etc. and the klan, Stormfront people, etc. are the same realize this?

They are both racists, but beyond that, they are two hugely distinct groups with two hugely distinct motives for their racism.

(Most of this post was not directed at SJackson; only the first bit).

There is dissent and there is outright left wing propaganda.

FR is in general Conservative.

L Ron Paul’s views are more in tune with Daily Kos & DU

"And since they can't actually find anything on Dr. Paul..."

He accepted a donation from Stormfront. How can you defend that?

Then I'll respond to the first bit. You're absolutely right, but they're rejected, not by Paul but by the rest of the GOP, which is the important thing.

You're right, there is no difference, we've ripped Obama here over the racist agenda of his Church.

Do you have any evidence of either donations from or fundraising at the Church. That would be interesting to follow up on. Stormfront can raise contributions for Paul, he can take them. If TUCC is raising funds for Obama, that should be looked into, non profits can't do that.

Anyway, glad you agree Paul should be condemned for accepting Stormfront contributions.

It's not like he went and sought the money from Stormfront, nor did he go to one of their functions to pander. In case you missed it Dr Paul had over 50,000 individual donors on Sunday, and over all his campaign has had over 100,000 unique individuals. The majority of funds come in from the web. Is he supposed to pay someone to investigate every supporter?

And giving it back? What does that accomplish? It just means the media will continue to look through every single donor til they bleed the man's campaign.

I donated.
I had an abortion 14 years ago.
ZOMG! Dr Paul supports abortion now!!!

Perhaps you can now see how silly this argument is?

Nice propaganda in the title, nice two month old breaking news, and stormfront also endorsed Bush.

If you click the link to the AP story on MSNBC, it is their EXACT TITLE and AP didn't run the story until TODAY.

Moreover, if you bothered to read the thread you would see that the moderator placed this in "Breaking News."

And finally, Bush DID NOT accept money from Stormfront or its founder, Paul did. And as I remember it, Bush denounced the unsolicited endorsement.

"If you read the rest of the article, Jesse Benton clearly states that the guy is wasting his money on Paul."

If what Black wants is to spread the word that America's support of Israel is responsible for 9/11, then no, he's not wasting his money at all.

Hey, just out of curiosity, what changed between now and 10/25, when you said "If his campaign did knowingly take money from white supremacists, they [sic] should be returned..."? Paul needs the money less now than ever before, so that's not it. Back then, you claimed he didn't know who gave him the money, but now we and he all know better, so that's not it. So what's the specific reason why white supremacist fiat currency was tainted in October but now spends just like anyone else's?

Can’t wait to inform my two-doors-down “neighbor” (the oddball of the subdivision) who has been displaying a Paul banner (not just a yard sign) in his front yard for the past three months.
