Rumor circulating on the Fred08 blog that there is going to be a major "surprise" announcement coming this morning.

‘he knocks off Huckabee and Romney in Iowa, the MSM will have to cover him.’

That is a big and unlikely if. Fred had his momentum, the loss of it cannot be blamed on MSM or other candidates.

Women can overlook physical flaws. Men tend to not do that.

Example, I think Samuel Alito and John Roberts are very attractive. Part of their attractiveness is their intelligence.
Brad Pitt does nothing for me, his skull is empty.”

I don’t really have a problem with Fred.
He’s probably my second choice.
Do you know why he chose to attack Fox News a few weeks ago?

Wrong. His father never had that kind of money. Mitt made his own money and he did it himself. His business acumen is remarkable and shouldn't be ignored.

I'm a Fred guy but you gotta give a man credit where credit's due. But heck...no matter who's money it is he still hasn't been able to buy the nomination.

Only Thompson, MCCain, or Rudy have a chance to beat her.

Rush has really wasted his influence. Rush should have been stumping for Fred a LONG time ago. We know Rush is not a fan of the Huckster, but he does seem to have a soft spot for Romney. Rush used to always criticize President Bush for not using the bully pulpit, and when it comes to Fred, Rush really drops the ball. Fred is really the only candidate worth getting semi-excited about. Let’s hope Rush comes to his senses, and makes the big push because it’s almost too late. We’re going to wake up with nutty McCain, or Obama, so now would be a good time, Rush.

“one year of hard work”

Actually his meeting with his church leadership about the presidency was more than two years ago.

But outwardly, seriously referring to Jeri as his “trophy wife?” No.

Actually, in the stupid "get to know the candidates" questionnaire, he refers to his "favorite possession" as "my trophy wife", in a clear tweak those who have called Jeri just that.

That's just plain not true. He made his millions from Bain Capital, a company he founded. A retraction and apology for your slander would be warranted. There are grounds to dislike Romney, but that does not justify lying about him.

The MSM is scared of Fred. They do not want a true conservative. They so far have not found dirt on Fred.

Now *that* is funny. No dirt on Fred? An attorney who spent his life as an attorney, politician, lobbyist, and actor has no skeletons? Puh-leaze. The MSM isn't scared of Fred. It's just that there's no use beating a horse that hasn't even left the starting gate.

>>I expect it is a big-time endorsement. Fred needs to kick-off the post-Christmas campaign swing. As much as Huckabee would like it, nobody is going to be taking time off from campaigning between now and Epiphany.<<

Agreed. Its pretty clear he is not gonna win Iowa or New Hampshire so he need to make the case that he has strength for a long run with better states to come.

Now, what would really help would be a strong speech from Fred to go along with a big endorsement.

It's because Mitt is a very, very good liar. He can lie with a straight face, and he fools a lot of people. Eventually, just about everybody will hear a position-of-the-week in which he agrees with them, and will think he's on their side.

What was the screen name of the poster who posted pic's of Jeri Thompson pole dancing?

You don't know. Because that poster was a disruptor who was quickly spotted and zotted.

Most dishonest of you to use that example to smear the regular FR posters who support Mitt.

Don't be so naive.

Mitt had every advantage in business -- access to a gold-plated network and tens of millions of dollars in capital.

That's the kind of silver spoon he had from daddy.

Yes, he made the most of his advantages, but to pretend he doesn't owe his wealth to his family & connections is laughable.

He inherited his seed money and connections from Daddy.

Yes, Romney made his fortune larger, but that, candidly, is easy to do when your daddy was HUD secretary, senator, head of a multi-national car company, and multi-multi-millionaire.

It’s nice, but it’s expected; nothing special.

Reminds me of Donald Trump. Yes, he’s reasonably wealthy. Supposedly a great businessnessman. But, candidly, if he put his tremendous inheritance in mutual fund, he would have had a lot more.

I’m from the upper South, VA but I live in northern NC now. We don’t have them here at least not that I have seen. We used to see them when we went to visit my husband’s father in Albany, GA. We lived in Atlanta then and only saw them in southern GA and westward toward TX where my husband is from originally.

The question remains though...where were they?

Perhaps if Rush came out now and endorsed a primary candidate, his endorsement would be considered a “donation”. But then, Opra’s endorsement was not considered a donation to Obama. I think Jason Wilson sitting in today and Mark Billings in tomorrow and Friday will be an indirect endorsement of Fred. GO FRED!

Peter LaBarbera, longtime pro-family advocate and founder of the Republicans For Family Values website, is calling on pro-family leaders who have endorsed Mitt Romney to withdraw their support for his candidacy in light of his recent comments on NBC's "Meet the Press" supporting pro-homosexual "sexual orientation" state laws.

Mitt's wheels might be coming loose. It appears he flopped when he should have flipped.
