Huckabee - “Where is Pakistan?”
Snort. WHAT is Pakistan?
Gomer Huckabee apologized. I hope that Fred kicks his butt on this one.
Damn, just when everyone thought that Carter had STFU, he goes and takes over Gomer’s body.
That explains a lot. Gomer is possessed by Jimmuh.
"Why would I pack Stan? He's a good friend of mine, not some pain in the Bhutto like that Pervert Mushmarf guy.
Once again it is perfectly clear who’s the grownup in the race.
The preferred GOP response, “Americans, you have to ask yourselves, ‘Do I want Hillary, Barack or Heaven forbid, John Edwards protecting me from these animals?’”
Rudy brought up 911 of course.
Reply was already written, name had to be inserted...
The other four top-tier guys did OK here. I'm sure folks can pick nits on each of them, but they were all strong, sober statements.
As I would have expected, Fred nails it in simple language everyone can understand.
As I would have expected, Giuliani also nails it, and so does McCain. But both of them have too much baggage to make them electable.
Romney hedges and complicates.
This points out again the extraordinary reality of global violent radical jihadism, Romney continued. We don’t know who is responsible for this attack, but there is no question that the violence we see throughout the world is violence which is not limited to Iranexcuse me, Iraqand Afghanistan but is more global in nature.
You can take this however you like. Either it’s conservative because we need to fight Jihad everywhere, or it’s liberal, because it picks up the liberal talking point that we shouldn’t be fighting in Iraq, or even in Afghanistan, because they are the wrong targets. I don’t THINK he means that, but the way he talks bothers me, as usual. Always plenty of wriggle room.
To be fair, Duncan Hunter would have had a good statement if they bothered to print it.
I looked for Hunter’s statement but couldn’t find it. Bummer. Send sharp email to campaign.
Fred, Rudy, and McCain all did well here. Mitt and Mike not so much.
President Bush:
“assassimations is bad”.
ROFL!
Quick - all candidates run to the cameras and make a statement. Try to look presidential (lol)
I’m glad Fred didn’t bowl anyone over to get to a camera. He just kept campaigning.
