And then he could give them (OK, not Sean Penn) all gastric bypasses and then write books about how his diet tips melted the fat from their bodies! (Huck may have done this about his own weight loss, inexplicably)

Huckabee is “NOT” a Conservative. The major question is: Did the Liberals find the weakest link and have their people quietly pushing him in order to give Hitlary a free pass in November 2008?
“Hispanic activists who viewed former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as
a voice of moderation on illegal immigration say they’ve been taken
aback by the hard-line stance he’s adopted as a presidential candidate.”
Nice to see I’m not the only one that thinks of Huckabee as a
100% authentic phoney.
It's a charade. He hasn't changed. A man who would change his opinion on such an issue AFTER he has entered into the race for president, cannot be trusted to follow that position once he is elected.
Nominating Huckabee would be political suicide for the Republicans. Huckabee is an empty suit.
He/she/they post under different names here but apparently one source. During one posting he forgot to sign off and addressed a post to oneself.
That's possible. But I believe much of his support comes from so-called 'Evangelical' Christians from the liberal denominations. Not that all members of those denominations are liberal by any means. But their hierarchies are, and many members tote their line.
The wife and I left one of those donominations (ELCA) a few years ago and have never looked back. I can see where Huckabee would fit right in with some of those people.
In other words, I have no doubt that some of his support is solidly based in what the MSM mistakenly considers the 'Christian Right'.
Absolutely. He and the Clintons are cut from the same cloth. Whether this translates to their using his candidacy is an open question. I certainly don't have the answer.
What scares me this election season is that, in addition to the typical socialist candidates the Democrats put up, we have two within the Republican ranks who are very scary in-and-of themselves; Huckabee and Ron Paul. Some of the other Repub candidates are your typical RINO Repubs ala the Bushes. But these two scare me. Huckabee is polling well, and Paul is getting outside support from nutcases that are trying to manipulate the Republican primary. It's a scary situation.
