I completely agree...

I personally find it rather sad as a homeschooling parent myself that so many of my fellow homeschoolers have been duped by Huckabee. It’s so very sad.

Ive heard it on fox news about 4 times in the past 30 min.

Yet they were all ready with their startling statistics and Megan Ryan was breathlessly telling us all about how many religious participants were out.

Thus far, it seems to me that Thompson’s fair showing is the surprise of the evening. IF McCain can derail Romney in NH, it could be a Huckabee-McCain showdown. And who wants that? So maybe Thompson would become the alternative to McHuck. McCain must be the most disappointed of all the candidates tonight.

The person who is in position to be really hurt is Romney. If Huck wins Iowa, and the McCain wins NH -- even with back to back 2nds Romney is seriously wounded as he head into hostile territory.

If this result holds it makes Super tuesday a total crapshoot. You will have Huck and Thompson battling down south, Romney McCain and Guiliani battling in the Moderate states.

I am really beginning to think that we may have a brokered convention.

As long ago as August the Special Report Roundtable were writing Fred off as “an actor” — somehow forgetting that Ronald Reagan was an actor. Their attitude toward Thompson (constantly staying they don’t understand the “reason” for his candidacy) has been puzzling to say the least.

“I’m not surprised by the attacks on Huck’s faith. It’s an easy target.”

It is. I don’t support him (I don’t care which politican wins this), but I find the attacks on his faith all too familiar. It’s also very telling that those who would attack a Christian wouldn’t dare bring up the issue if we were talking about a person of the mohammedan faith.

“It would do well to remember that Christians, in particular, often vote against their own welfare for ideals.”

And the secular “ideals” that they’re talking about are usually very transient.

Some folks should not get excited if the Huckester wins and not a trend as his state and Iowa in the general neighborhood. Both only have 3 million population and some of the same type of folks.

Outside of the general neighborhood and bible belt the Huckester would be luck to run 5th

Bottom line, a sure win for the Democrats in Nov.

They are duped in that they can only “follow the outline”, educationally-speaking, and don’t bother with the “boring” details, which they equate with learning “dates” in history. In short, they are the cousins of the Carteroids thirty-two years ago. Still, Romney is no alternative.

Truth is, they don’t even have a clue that Huck has the stamp of approval from the NEA.

I wonder if RATs are stepping over and voting for Huck in the caucus because they WANT him to be our candidate.

I know I will not vote for him.

I agree, except that Huck has been more of a contributor to the progression of this serious agenda (anti-Christian) rather than it's starting point. Perhaps though, as you suggest, his hideous and sophomoric campaign might trigger an escalation.

I for one would like to see Christians fight back. Switching from Democrat to Republican would be one way. Another would be to stand up against the movie producers, newspapers, magazines, school boards, town councils etc. who have for far to long taken their money and then told Christians to take a hike.
