Eight years from now, he’ll be 44 years old, and one of the most experienced governors in the nation.

We are so excited in Louisiana about Bobby. We finally seem to be able to see some light in the dark smokey rooms of the “good ole boys” club. It will be hard to penetrate the pitiful politics of LA but if anyone can do it, he can. We are praying for him to succeed.

I gather that Katrina, et al, collectively grabbed Louisianans by the scruff and (figuratively speaking) forced them to take a good hard look in the mirror. For all the Bush and FEMA-bashing, I’m guessing they knew full well who the real villains were.

It seems that after seventy-odd years of “colorful” characters in Baton Rouge they are now ready to try competence and honesty for a change.

The future can’t come to soon for me. The Republican party needs to be saved from it’s Old Bulls.

I live in a pocket of Pubs in Metairie on the outskirts of NOLA. I have longed for the rest of LA from Lafayette on up to see the light for a time now. I truly believe we are on the road to dismantling the Democratic colorful characters - but not without a lot of squealing. The Huey and Earl Long days are long over but the mentality still exists. I am enjoying the first whiffs of the smell of victory for LA!

Will we have to listen to the MSM talk about his Hindu relatives living in India? How about his Hindu parents in LA?

If the MSM gives Obama a pass, then it’s good for Bobby.

“This implies Louisiana had a nonwhite governor prior to Reconstruction; I’m unable to find any evidence of Louisiana ever having a nonwhite governor.”
