Setting aside the hatred most of you have for Ron Paul, what do you think of what's going on in Nevada?
It looks like the Republicans want only Republicans to cast ballots. I know why cut and runs folks are unhappy. They know NO Republican would ever vote for a white flag waving blame America first anti-American.

"It looks like the Republicans want only Republicans to cast ballots.Fair enough but why change the rules back and forth so close to caucus time? The rules should be clearly established well ahead of time.

The Independent American Party is the Nevada affiliate of the Constitution Party. Though they will likely have their own Presidential candidate, they have endorsed Ron Paul for the Republicans, and have encouraged their voters to identify themselves as Republicans and support Ron Paul at the caucuses.
Nevada is not supposed to have "open" caucuses.

I have a transcript of the last debate and I think that Ron Paul would be wise to put it on a DVD and send it out. He was excellent, almost prescient in a couple of places.
There was one area where he was weak and another one where he appeared to be a little confused but upon careful reading it was Brit Hume's fault not Paul's.
It was during that debate that I made up my mind to support only Ron Paul,at least until the elections in November.

However, on January 17 the policy was changed for a third time, as the state party announced that affidavits would be in use throughout the state, subject to the discretion of county central committees and chairs. Personally, I find it pretty disgusting that so many Freepers are OK with letting county chairs decide who gets to vote just because they think it will hurt a candidate they don't like this time around.
On top of disgusting, it becomes outright stupid when it is all to hurt a candidate who doesn't have a shot of winning anyway.

The guy is a nut! That "nut" has more votes and money than both Rudy and Fred Thompson. He may outlast the two of them as well.

Paul will do fine, don't worry about it. Remember that any showing above last is a victory for him. He'll easily be in the top three in NV and he'll beat Rudy again in SC. Consider the fact that he's still in the presidential race and bigger names such as Richardson, Dodd, Brownback, Tancredo, Tommy Thompson, Gilmore, etc have all dropped out. If Fred Thompson and Giuliani don't win SC and FL respectively, they're finished.
Only Paul can compete nationally, while the other GOP candidates are confined to the specific early primary state that they blew their fortunes on. And remember that these early states had some of their delegates stripped because they violated party rules. Paul has consistently gotten 6%-10% in each of the three states so far. This is a beautiful rope-a-dope campaign by Paul, he's taken all of his hits and the only "scandal" associated with Paul is the already debunked newsletters and the usual guilt-by-association smears. All Paul has to do is place high in both states & that'll give him a huge momentum boost to Super Tuesday. It'll even help with the MLK Money Bomb too.
