Today is the day.
All Stars have become all chumps. Thompson will not endorse McCain because it would compromise everything he stands for. There is a difference between standing up for your friend, and standing up for your principles. Fred knows the difference. BTW, Fred has vowed to continue on to Florida. I firmly believe Thompson is in this for the long haul now.
Fox is really ticken’ me off.
Watering the plants.
Hey Bully, I gave you a link to someone reporting the same data I did. Try opening up your damn eyes and reading the post before you dart off into some tyrannical rant of insanity.
Huck’s campaign manager said that to get people to lump Fred in with McCain.
I could never vote for Huckabee after looking at his ugly campaign strategy. When a Christian sells his soul to a devil like Ed Rollins to get elected, he’ll do anything.
I pretty much agree with your assessment.
Hey Thirty Pack! I sent you the link to National Review reporting the same data.. Quit being a lunatic!
arg ... I got to stop watching Fox ... they are doing an all day hatchet job on the Thompson campaign.
Do you have a link to where Thompson said he will continue to Florida?
Last I heard him say he would have to do good in SC in order to move on.
Prayers now everyone for Fred!
You can’t miss the thread here on FR.
CNN is doing an awesome job.
I would stay away from Fox and MSNBC.
Fred Thompson is now ahead of Huck in NV.
lol...hey HC :)
THOMPSON GOING TO FLORIDA, EVEN IF HE FINISHES THIRD.
“The group says when [Fred] drops out, he will immediately endorse McCain.”
If that happens, I’ll be very disappointed and would think everyone would. I hope they’re wrong.
Thanks for that....my heart skipped a beat. It would be so great if he could win that state.
“When it comes to personal courage and integrity and the courage to do what he thinks is right, regardless of whether or not it’s particularly popular at the moment, John McCain has shown characteristics of leadership like no one else I’ve ever seen,” Thompson said at a press conference.
But, if he admired McCain’s ‘Maverick’ style in 1999, what has changed from then til now? McCain-Feingold-Thompson clearly isn’t a factor.
Coast to coast we must do what we can to keep Fred's campaign alive so that he may find a way to regroup and retake the lead in this primary battle!
Thanks found it!
Well that makes me feel a whole lot better!
Fox is unwatchable. I say that as someone who’s watched FOX since they FIRST came on the air. I’m done.
MSNBC covering Thompson’s campaign live now....Mika
Jeri said on Levin yesterday that no way is he in this for McCain.
“When McCain looses is he going to endorse Fred” she said.
The way they talk about McCain, are we talking about John McCain or Lucas McCain, the Rifleman?
Hmm, that is two of you who would be punking if watching Fox. I don’t feel that way about Fox and these men are going by the numbers reported to them now as far as where Thompson is in the SC primary. If Thompson does endorse McCain, then your punking would have a reason to take place. I’d rather see him endorse Romney as I think he could stomp Hillary. Let’s wait and see where Thompson ranks today before you start working on punking. OK?
>>Then I pity you. Im NOT ashamed of the TRUE GOSPEL. Mormonisn is not true. It is chocolate covered poison. It looks good and tastes good, but it results in your spiritual (eternal) death.<<
While you are certainly free to support whomever you choose (and I am certainly not voting for Romney) I don’t feel empowered to judge others eternally and I doubt that you are. That is for God.
We don’t know how God will judge a man’s heart but we do know that Mormons worship the God of Abraham, ask forgiveness in the name of Jesus and keep the commandments both those of the old Testament and the Commandments that Jesus said were most important.
To focus on and condemn them over doctrinal differences seems to me to be wrong. There are plenty of policy problems with Romney without making this a religious test for office.
I pray he does in SC!
I think I heard on Levin yesterday that he was going to do a special show on SC.
brb, going to check my memory.
1999 ans 2008 are worlds apart.
I have been flipping from Fox News quite a bit lately, they seem to have lost something... appeal.
I pray you are right!
How right you are. There is something not very honest about Huckabee.
Depends what he means by doing good. There is no reason for him to drop out before Feb. 5, unless he brokers a VP deal with McCain. If he does drop out, watch for that, if McCain hasn’t already promised it to Liberman.
But Romney still looks, for now, like the candidate, so why should Fred give up before Feb. just to see Willard take his votes.
Maybe I’m wishful thinking. Fred is the only one left standing, along with Hunter who the press has marginalized, worth a damn.
Now, because you have been caught, you are childishly trying to bluster and scream in a futile attempt to hide your embarassment. All you are doing is making sure many more people learn of your humiliation.
If you don’t like being treated like an ignorant brat, quit acting like one.
I’m only watching Cavuto lately.
From listening to the different pundits, I take it Fred’s got a choice to make. Doesn’t sound good for him. Reading between the lines, it sounds like he would consult with McCain.
McCain might prefer Fred to stay in and keep taking votes away from Huck. I can’t imagine running a campaign like that, but I’ve heard it several times.
Or...McCain may prefer a staight out endorsement and Fred gets out.
I’m not saying this IS going to happen. I can’t stand the idea of Fred helping McCain. I’m simply telling you what I’m gleaning from their comments.
I would be very annoyed with a McCain/Thompson ticket. I’d rather see a younger VP candidate like a Mike Pence - a solid, younger, tough, take-no-prisoners conservative who can articulate conservative principles. Then look out for Pence in 2012!
Oooo, planting a fake-fainter to show your compassion. That is SO yesterday. Hussein Obama did that a week or two ago. What a wannabee.
I have the data right in front of me . You are not god sir, as much as you like to think you are. You sound like a raving lunatic trying to say “You don’t have this, you’re a liar, quit pretending.”
You should be ashamed of yourself for your behavior. You are the only one in here acting like a kindergartner. It’s sad and pathetic the way you are displaying yourself on these forums.
Hop on your high horse and go take a nap somewhere... YOU NEED ONE!
Hispanics in TX in 2002 voted for black Ron Kirk for the U.S. Senate, but the whole Demo ticket lost.
Tired of being here hmmm? I have suspended for posting less childisly obnoxious stupid posts then you have all ready posted here
So what it going to be? You going to man up or keep crying like a little bitch?
“I think I heard on Levin yesterday that he was going to do a special show on SC.”
Awesome! It’s important, whatever the outcome.
Mitt pops up at a presser in Jacksonville!
Didn’t waste any time, did he?
Ok- tell us where you’re getting the numbers? Links? Websites? Other than NRO.
Jeri, God love her, is dreaming. McCain did not support Bush after being defeated in '00.
Mike Pence agrees with McPain on immigration, as I recall.
