Ron Paul, Featuring Special Guests "The Jew Haters"
Radar Magazine ^ | 1/18/08 | Nick Curran

Posted on 01/19/2008 7:54:17 AM PST by Mr. Silverback

In the stuffy world of politics, the Ron Paul campaign has earned the reputation of being something like a raucous, freedom-loving party. A raucous, freedom-loving party with lots of paranoid bigots. So it would probably be more surprising if the band reportedly headlining RonPaulapalooza didn't have a few teeny-tiny problems with the Jews, who they feel are trying to destroy everybody. The band Poker Face enjoys churning out a hard-chargin' "freedom rock" that they developed under the influence of Boston, the Beatles, and Frank Zappa, as well as a firm conviction that the Holocaust did not happen and that the Jews are in fact the lead agents of a "Satanic World Order."

And according to a notice sent out by RonPaulaplooza organizers, you can get yourself a taste when Poker Face (along with some "lesser-known bands") rocks the big event, now tentatively scheduled for the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Morehead, Kentucky. As of post time, organizers had not responded to Radar's anxious inquiries about the possible co-appearance of a sassy little slice of pizza known to sling some fairly dope rhymes about the Ron Paul revolution.

Cue the Ministry of Silly Explanations..."Guilt by association"..."his message appeals to them because of X"...blah, blah, blah.

Well, we keep getting told this guy is the only conservative in the race. We keep getting told that Reagan said libertarianism is the heart of the GOP. We're told they call it "The rEVOLution." And the problem is, a message that is about conservatism, libertarianism or love should not even remotely appeal to people whose forum tagline is "nothing says lovin' like a jew in the oven."

It's time we gave this band of sideshow freaks the bum's rush out of our party...or at least FR.

"freedom rock" that they developed under the influence of Boston, the Beatles, and Frank Zappa,

Is this some kind of sick joke?

Don't worry, the GOP is successfully re-creating itself as the Neo-Conservative party, which doesn't appeal to all [former] GOPers, so when the schism is complete, the GOP may appeal to a voter base about 60% (or less) of its size during the Reagan heyday.

It's always fun to watch a national political party commit suicide!

I’ve noticed the Paul Qaeda has been pretty quiet around here.
Were they finally shamed into giving up on the antisemitic nutcase, or did they have to be purged?

Of course, if Obama had bands in his corner with similar baggage, all us good, self-hating liberals would just nervously twiddle our thumbs and keep silent.

What’s stranger Run Paul talking about foreign policy or his supporters talking about why it’s okay for him to have bigots as supporters?

Cue the Ministry of Silly Explanations.

What part of "Official Campaign Is Not Involved" do you not understand?

Do you want to deny other people their freedom to associate just because you disagree with their beliefs?

This is one of the dumbest threads on FR, ever.

1) Since when do glorified blog/ezine posts make it to front page news? Hello, topic abuse. The Radars top stories are about Gloria Beckham vomiting and about Lindsey Lohan.

2) The website http://ronpaulapalooza.com/ doesn’t list any bands and in fact says the date is tentative.

3) The Paul campaign has nothing to do with this event. If you can prove it does, call the FEC, because they will fine him and and he will be history. Of course, it’s much easier to smear him by just alluding to it. Same as the accusations of him taking Soros money. If you can prove it - call the FEC. Soros will go to jail. It’s much easier to smear though, isn’t it?

4) He said in the last debate that he doesn’t want truthers etc to support him, because he doesn’t believe what they do and their support doesn’t help him.

Well, we keep getting told this guy is the only conservative in the race.

No, you've been told that Ron Paul is a paranoid kook/anti-war leftist in the party, and that Fred Thompson was the only conservative. Who here have ever said Paul was the real conservative here, without being subject to ridicule?

We keep getting told that Reagan said libertarianism is the heart of the GOP.

But in the next breath, Reagan also said that libertarianism has limits. Still, libertarianism is an important bloc of the GOP. If that POS pro-abortion Rudy can be a Republican, then so can Dr. Paul.

We're told they call it "The rEVOLution."

For the most part, it is. There have been isolated incidents of kooks trying to exploit the campaign for their own personal gain or publicity. When you have a message like Ron Paul has, you're bound to attract the undesirables. I told you this already on the other thread.

It's time we gave this band of sideshow freaks the bum's rush out of our party...or at least FR.

Most of the Ron Paul supporters have already been given the boot here, because they crossed the line or you guys kept pinging the Mods because you were getting beat-down in discussion.

You know what's even stranger? You guys are obsessed over someone who hasn't placed no higher than 5th in the primaries. I bet you guys also enjoy looking at car wrecks and torturing insects too, right.

“I’ve noticed the Paul Qaeda has been pretty quiet around here.”

No, it’s just that the foaming at the mouth Paul-haters spam the threads with dumb excuses for posts to make comments like “Paul Qaeda” and blabbing about the great (ha ha ha) lefty TNR article about how Paul is bad because he thinks the BATF cross the line too often, that the 8% or so of members who support Dr. Paul don’t bother posting.

“Were they finally shamed into giving up on the antisemitic nutcase, or did they have to be purged?”

Bush must be the antisemite - not Paul.

Look at their actions!

Bush is lobbying for a terror state to be created, including half of Jerusalem.

Bush prevents Israel from defending themselves.

When they do, he sends Flied Rice to the region to tell the Israelis they must have ‘restraint’ when dozens of missiles are shot at them a day. You know, they might ‘inflame the situation.’

Bush had the ‘peace’ conference where the Israeli’s had to enter through the service entrance, so as not to offend his Saudi masters.

You were more entertaining when you made dumb cartoons about dumb democrats. You should stick to that.

Don't bother with the Mods. If someone heard a bunch of teens gossiping about Paul at a mall, it'll get posted here in breaking news.

Nope. Looks like they're a real band. they have a website advertising themselves as producers of "Protest Rock ~ Made in America" and the group photo matches the photo in the Radar article.

So, you're saying we should keep thee Nazis, so our voter base doesn't shrink? Maybe we should keep the Troofers too.

Bush administration also filed a brief on behalf of D.C. in the gun ban case.

Nothing to see here though, let's all go to the latest "Day in the Life of President Bush" thread and let our eyes glaze over at the pic of Bush in his t-shirt carrying branches on his ranch.

“No, you’ve been told that Ron Paul is a paranoid kook/anti-war leftist in the party, and that Fred Thompson was the only conservative.”

Fred Thompson - Aristide’s registered lobbyist and lawyer.

But it’s OK - he represented Aristide for free. (As if that makes it better? How many Freepers would do work for a marxist murderer for free?)

Not only that, he did it 2 weeks after Aristide was widely quoted in the media as telling his supporters to ‘necklace’ their opponents - put a tire on their head and light it on fire. He was quoted talking about how nice the smell is.

2 weeks alter, Fred registered as his lobbyist.

Fred represented a commie dictator murderer for free - I guess that makes his supporters Frederistas?

A few were purged (George W. Bush leaps to mind) but once the newsletters came out, the “it’s guilt by association, they did it to Goldwater” line was much harder to push.

Interesting when the GOP nominee loses in the general election, we Troofers and white supremacists are suddenly going to become traitorous conservatives and losertarians who wouldn't toe the party line.
