“We find that of those who accuse Romney of flip-flopping, many admit it is Romney’s Mormonism and not his flip-flopping that is the real issue,” Benson said.

So?

Just what percentage is MANY???

I'll bet we get a long thread by folks on both sides of this issue argueing over a flimsy (almost non-existant) data set!

The poll, which was conducted by Polimetrix, included an oversample of Southern Evangelicals that Geer said measured bias with far more precision than previous efforts.

WHAT??

Does this mean that they REPEATEDLY asked folks to build up the numbers??

You'll need a bit MORE than a grain for this one!

The line is thrown around not because Evangelicals hate Mormons, but because the press hates Evangelicals. I think you've GOT it!!

(They probably do not HATE them {This is tossed out too much by some FR Mormons} but are EXTREMELY uneasy about ANYONE who dares tell them that their choices they are making in life are planting them solidly on the road to HELL!)

I should know as one Mittbot told me I was a Son of Perdition.

(Some on FR think that I am a DAUGHTER of Perdition!)

Weird religion or not, the faith produces folks who are competent, productive executives.

What percentage in Utah State Prison are 'mormon'?

The survey shows that 50 percent of conservative Evangelicals evaluate a moderate Christian candidate more positively than a conservative Mormon candidate.

So??

John Podhoretz, noting that Romney appears to have won 94 percent of Mormons in Nevada, comments:...

How DARE you use DATA to prove that MORMONS are more biased than Evangelicals!

It's unfair, unkind, definitely un-American and shows just how MUCH you HATE us!!!

--MormonDude(I'll vote for a Baptist: as long as there is no Mormon running, too)

And I always thought this country was formed on freedom of religion, which is why I fell in love with it.

You are absolutely right; but we ALSO have freedom of CHOICE!

QUL says, “the faith produces folks who are competent, productive executives.”

The Mormon church owned Desert News says that Utah is known as the “stock fraud capitol of the world”. And you call these “competent, productive executives? Read on...

Financial Problems

On June 22, 2004, the Mormon Church-owned Deseret News reported that for the twelve months ending March 31, “one of every 36.5 Utah household filed for bankruptcy, being the highest household-per-filing rate in the nation.” The national average was 71.8 or nearly double the Utah figure. This is the second year in a row that Utah has led the nation in bankruptcies.5

When my husband and I financed our new condo, our banker told us in passing that Utah was known as the “fraud capital of the U.S.” I checked his statement on the internet and leaned that this distinction was awarded Salt Lake City in a page one Wall Street Journal article on February 25, 1974.6

This downward trend continued to be noticed and ten years later, in 1984 Newsweek wrote, “Utah, the land of the Mormons, has earned itself another name: the Stock-Fraud Capital of the Nation.”6

The Ogden Standard Examiner, in August 1989 explained that “The cultural emphasis in the Mormon Church that equates financial success with spiritual success, and an unquestioning allegiance to authority figures, may partly explain why 10,000 Utah investors have been swindled out of more than $200 million during the past decade.”6

What words are we supposed to say so that everyone knows it’s the flip-flopping that’s the major issue with us?

It doesn't matter what words you'd use, for they'd all be LIES!!!

We KNOW that the ONLY reason you oppose us is because of FEAR!

FEAR than you are wrong and our beloved Joseph Smith (pbuh) was RIGHT!

You will NOT admit that you HATE us so you TRY to hide it but it isn't working the facts are coming out you will be crushed in the primaries I love my church SO much and we love you too!

Correction—

My previous post I said, ~QUL says, “the faith produces folks who are competent, productive executives.”~

Should say, QLA says.........

Hopefully my second cup of coffee (anti-Mormon product, I know) will improve my ability to hit the right keys on my key board. : )

Mitt’s win is in large part due to the...

Mitt's win is due to his positive, energetic, pro-conservative message -- plain and simple.

He is a fresh face, an outsider, and EXACTLY what the conservative movement needs to bolster our confidence and reach.

Let's face it. Fred Thompson is a solid man.

But his is a wrinkled somewhat tired old bull Moose in the GOP Elephant wing of the conservative cause.

Romney is a young conservative buck, smart as a whip, full of enthusiasm, and ready to tackle the lib-Dem wackadoodle leftists this summer and right up to election day in November.

No dis-respect to Fred, but we really need some energy if we expect to defeat sHrillary or Bomb-o Bracka.

This image is in poor taste..

I agree.

Can't we just move away from identity politics, and concentrate on how to best promote a good conservative candidate like Romney.

There is a small but devoted group of Freepers who hate his guts regardless of fact.

That is true.

But the picture sounds like your claiming that Jesus is going to campaign for Romney.

Which is kinda overboard.

“There is a small but devoted group of Freepers who hate his guts...”

Maybe what they really hate is the man’s liberal record and his attempt to con people into believing he’s a “life long conservative”. His record and past words prove otherwise. Calling people who disagree with your candidate, “haters” or like some of your fliparoos say, “religious bigots”, is dishonest and totally ignores their reason for not supporting your guy. Some of us just don’t want to support a liberal. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

OK - you are becoming a real "problem."

You just refuse to "get with the program" here.

Don't make me shun you.
