Not gonna happen. There’s no way he’ll accept with McCain. And hell will freeze over before he accepts an invite from Huck. The only feasible offer would be from Romney.

He doesn’t want to be VP. I don’t think he even wanted to be President all that bad. His mother is sick and he wants to be with her. That is actually very nice. I do predict he will endorse someone: McCain.

Fred on Romney:

“Romney’s flipped all over the place,” Thompson began, adding that the country needs a president who is honest and has integrity. “How are people going to know where you will be in the future, when they’ve flipped all over the place.”

It seems unlikely that Fred would sign on with a used car salesman like Mitt, who lacks the honesty and integrity to be president.

I’d take that ticket also.

I read that he’s not interested in any VP slot though

He had his campaign staff prime things this morning with: He will NOT accept VP. He will NOT accept cabinet post. He will NOT endorse anyone (at this time.)

1. I thought that he wasn’t going to accept such an offer.

2. If he would, then I will still be in the position of only being able to support Romney. The other 3 are simply unacceptable (though all 4 are less unacceptable than all of the Dems).

I’ve been arguing all along that Thompson was in it just for the opportunity to be VP. He wasn’t running a very aggressive campaign. It seemed that he really did not want to be President.

The Fredheads would savage me every time I mentioned it, though, claiming that he had directly ruled out a VP position. My response was “Every candidate who is running for VP says that. You don’t say you’re running for VP if you want to be VP. You say you’re running for President.”

To which the Fredheads would respond, “Are you calling Fred a liar?”

I saw one of the FoxNews reporters talking about Fred yesterday, and he said that Fred was thinking about the possibility of a VP slot from the beginning.

I love saying “I told you so.”

He’s had criticisms of McCain too...that’s why I’ll be very jaded if he endorses McAmnesty.

After much debate I was planning to vote for Fred when the Illinois Primary rolled around. I am a Evangelical Christian at first was supporting Huckabee but switched to Fred. I’m not sure who I’m going to support now!
