This is a bit of a shock. I liked Heath. A Knight’s Tale and Casanova are my two favorites of his movies. Only 28 yo. Dang.

He was married to Michelle Williams, whom he met filming Brokeback, but I guess they split last year. At least that’s what I’m hearing.

I won’t be surprised if we found out this was an overdose and not an accidental one.

I give no one “credit” for playing a role to advance evil in our world nor for producing yet another child to suffer illegitimacy. I do give him credit for playing the good roles he had. Rest in Peace. BTW Jesus name is not a swear word.

That has always been the trend, which is weird. Based on some news reports, Britney could be next.

I knew about the dangers of drugs when I was young in the 1970s. I never risked it. Young people today certainly are even more educated on the dangers before they ever try it. Some of them think they are too smart, too strong, too cool for it to get the best of them. Many, like Mr. Ledger, are wrong.

It’s a shame for his daughter, but he chose to dance with the devil.

RD sounds like it might have been suicide to me.

"Suicide? That is crazy. That is way too scary way to die. No way I'm doing that."

There is some guy saying that in an interview with Ledger that Ledger commented he was only sleeping 2 hours a night and that the Ambien he was taking wasn’t working, which lends credence to the accident theory, which i hope is true for the sake of his child.

So, your list of great American directors doesn’t include D. W. Whatsizface, then?

It puts the lotion on it’s skin, or else it gets the hose again.

Exactly. No one needs to defend it. It’s tragic regardless. What’s even more tragic, is that some are belittling him because of playing an undesirable role, which countless actors do. What gets lost is that he was 29, a human being, and is leaving a child behind. People are ridiculous.

It’s easy to accidentally overdose on pills. I had a really viscous cold once and it was pill time, which included prescription codeine so I could breath without pain. Well instead of being smart and taking out all the pill bottles at once and then taking out one of each pill feverish me just started grabbing bottles one at a time and taking the pills. Then I thought “hey didn’t I already take a codeine”, and indeed I had. Luckily 2 codeine isn’t going to kill you, but it was still an accidental overdose, drugs and fogged thinking is a hairy combo.

Course that doesn’t mean it’s what happened to Ledger. But it is to point out that people can legitimately accidentally OD.

TMZ is saying cops on the scene are saying accidental overdose, Defamer is saying sucide. IOW, no one knows.

And the apt. has no relation to any Olsen.

It’s so sad. I liked Heath and thought he was a good actor. This definitely is a surprise.

NYPD now saying it was over-the-counter sleeping pills, CNN saying also that in his last interview with the NYT, said he had not been able to sleep more than 2 hours a night.

It will be small comfort to their family, but I do hope it was by accident, and not intentionally.

Now saying it is not Mary Olsons apartment.

I was impressed with “Titus,” which I rented a couple years ago.
