Hunters endorsement but it was clearly based on principle and not on politics.

A conservative backs a socialist because of "principle"? Right.

Hunter is strongly pro-life and Huckabee is also strongly pro-life. Hunter is very worried about China - Huckabee is the only remaining candidate who seems to share any of his concerns about China. Also, while Huckabee has a horrible record on immigration he has adopted a platform on immigration with many similarities to Duncan Hunters. So, he is as believable on immigration as Romney is on abortion. Huckabee and Hunter also share a passion for protecting the second amendment. It is for these reasons that I am sure that Hunter endorsed Huckabee. Obviously Huckabee is not a perfect choice but given the options it was about as good of one as he could have made. I knew he wouldn’t endorse Romney due to Bain capital and its dealings with China and there was no way that he was going to endorse Mr. Amnesty or the pro-abortion Giuliani.

It was based on one word:

Christian.
