Blizzards Strand Thousands in China (Darn Global Warming)

GUANGZHOU, China (Jan. 28) - Snow and ice storms have stranded hundreds of thousands of people - most of them migrant workers hoping to leave for the Chinese New Year - and more blizzards threatened Monday to wreck what for many is a rare chance to see family.

The government pledged Monday to increase the output of gasoline, coal and power to ease shortages amid the severe winter weather, which has forced rationing in some areas, the Xinhua News Agency said.

Geez....I would hate to think what would happen to China without a little help from global warming. Seems even more would be starving and freezing to death than already are. Hey......Isn't that what happened in the 'Little Ice Age' of the 1600's? Crops failed, people starved, disease decimated populations. Hope Al Gore can summon up some of his hot air soon, lest history repeat itself.

Well, you know global warmism isn’t happening in China. Just in the US and western Europe.

That’s why the Red Chinese don’t need to sign Kyoto or put in any pollution controls, and they can burn just as much coal as they please!

(That, and the fact that Dimocraps hate the US whereas Commies Can Do No Wrong.)

FYI...

2007 is going down as the coldest winter in 10 years.

Russian Scientists have determined that periodic changes in solar energy have turned the tide, and that due to a 17 year lag in earth's response to this cycle, we are just now seeing the global cooling begin.

We will see warming between now and 2040 as the 11 year cycles continue, but the 80 year and 200 year cycles are turning and we are going to see ever colder global temperatures.

The real question... how will the global warming folks explain this?

well if it’s weather-related, it must be caused by global warming. All that trapped heat causes it to disipate even faster, or slower, making it colder or hotter. This of course causes more or less violent storms if even that. And then when you think it can’t get any worse, it either does or it doesn’t.

Oh, HA! Some Russian scientist says that solar energy has some effect on the Earth’s temperature — and you believe him?? It’s man’s fault! No other explanation is possible!

I hear that the weather problem would disrupt production activities in China, adding another wrinkle to already struggling world economy.

Any single thing I can think of is undeniable proof of global warming and if you so much as think of questioning that statement, you’re worse than a Holocaust denier.

Yes, global warming is now not the right term. Our wonderful enviormetalists now use the term climate change. That way, they are covered no matter what happens. If the weather turns hot or the weather turns cold it is still a man made problem.

"The real question... how will the global warming folks explain this?"

Change the terminology from Global Warming to Climate Change...that gets everything.

The report I cited showed a solar energy fluctuation cycling on 11 year, 80 year and 200 year cycles.

Since these are not divisible by each other, this means that every so often, you get phase alignment where they are all peaking simultaneously. Such events, when warming are rare, and when cooling are also rare.

The 17 year lag is just now appearing which shows that the cooling trend will head down with 11 year bumps but continuously get cooler and cooler.

It will be hard to argue “greenhouse warming” when cooling becomes predominant.

Construction worker Liu Chenmin, 43, said he visits his family in neighboring Hunan just three times a year, though the trip is just eight hours by train. His hopes of getting a train were fading fast, and he had already warned his family - a wife and a teenage son and daughter - that he might not be home for the holiday.

My sources indicate that this kind of thing is pretty common in China. As are girlfriends/mistresses.
