Can you honestly say that Hillary Clinton heroin would be better than McCain crack?

Get real, Neal!

I wish Romney would go away.

I'm down with that struggle.

My current voting strategy in November is to write in Hunter, unless he, or Fred, runs third party. In that event, I'll be voting third party.

If Hitlery is president, the Republicans in Congress will filibuster to prevent any of her bills from passing.

That's why people had better start paying more attention to teh congressional races. Get Polosi, Reid and gang the hell out of there -- and send the damned RINOs with them.

Boortz thinks that votes for Huckabee in the primaries, win or lose, will translate into a groundswell of support for the FairTax — wishful thinking on his part. Why would Huckabee’s success be attributed to that issue rather than, for instance, his stance on a Human Life or Marriage amendment, which have also been cornerstones of the Huckabee campaign? Expecting the Republican Party to latch on to the FairTax based on a strong (but probably not winning in most states)showing by Huckabee doesn’t seem realistic.

And even if the overwhelming majority of Republican base supported it, the FairTax would still have no chance politically given the continuing close divide between Republicans and Democrats. No Democrats, and few Republicans, would even consider scrapping the current tax system, much less enacting a tax that could be easily smeared as regressive and damaging to the poor.

And so the actual consequence of his primary voting strategy of casting a ballot for Huckabee is to add support to the nanny-state wing of the Republican Party. Boortz’s rationale makes no sense to me, given his overall beliefs.

I hope you’re right. It’s always us that have to compromise and back the moderate or liberal because ‘he’s our party guy’. Let them come over to us for awhile. IF they want to be the Democrat-Lite party, they will do it without the conservatives.

Exactly. We won’t be able to attack a liberal republican ‘cuz ‘he’s one of us.’ We will be able to derail a liberal democrat agenda. Or delay it. And be able to go both barrels at it.

>>Can you honestly say that Hillary Clinton would be better than McCain? <<

A Hillary presidency would not damage the Republican party as much as a McCain presidency would. People need to think long term here...

I wish Huckabee would go away.

I'm thinking we just need to ignore him. He seems to thrive on being asked to quit.

I really don't care all that much about the Republican Party.

A McCain presidency would not damage the nation anywhere near as much as a Hllary one would.

I actually disagree with that one. But it would be close.

As I have said in previous posts, things like our current choice of candidates are convincing me more and more that Revelation 17 and 18 are referring to the US.

I can vote for none of the currently viable candidates - not even as a vote against the otheres. When given a choice between Saddam, Hitler and Stalin, I choose to abstain.
