I was there today. He looked great, got a terrific intro from the always inspiring Herman Cain, gave a focused and rousing speech, and most importantly, was sweet to my baby! LOL.
Hi there... My baby put her head in my chest as we approached Mitt, so I decided not to give the Dems a photo-op. LOL.
But the rally was great! This from the Georgia blog:
Quick report from the rally
We had a wonderful event today in downtown Atlanta. It was packed, and we had to expand the room to accomodate everyone. The podium was filled with legislators and various other "VIPs" such as Jay Sekulow, Mark DeMoss, Sen. Rick Santorum, and Herman Cain who introduced Gov. Romney. It was a rousing introduction followed by a very energetic speech by Gov. Romney.
I've been to plenty of rallies before, but this one had the crowd fired up. Many left to go straight to the phone banks. Our yard signs were depleted in a matter of moments as the crowd left.
As I left the event, I passed a group of volunteers waving signs at the corner of Spring and North Ave. People are fired up!
Be sure to watch the news tonight for coverage.

McCain...
* Was a champion of the Law of the Sea. Now says he’d vote against it
* Was a co-sponsor of the DREAM act (illegal immigrant children can become citizens by graduating high school). Then voted against his own bill.
* Sponsored legislation to reveal grassroots lobbyists to reveal their donors. Now opposes his own measure.
* He was so into “campaign finance reform” that name is on the bill — “McCain Feingold”. Now says he opposes some of the provisions of his own bill.
* Championed immigration reform law for three years. Now would vote against it.
* Spent “decades” trying to take both sides of the aisle on Roe v. Wade, and now has spent “decades fighting for the unborn”
* Voted against the Bush tax cuts and now pledges to make them permanent.
Flip, flop, flip, flop...

Just to let you know, this charismatic Christian is praying hard for a Romney win.
Dear Lord, please give us the leader that pleases you - not the leader we deserve.

Can you believe the day he is having? I am going to the rally here in Long Beach, CA tonight at our 7:30, which is 6 hours away. I HOPE the guy can sleep on the plane trips. And I hope tomorrow is all worth it!

So am I! Mitt Romney was my second choice when Fred dropped out, and I certainly see him as the most conservative candidate left in the race. I expect Romney to do well tomorrow and go on to win the nomination. GO MITT!

Does Romney have pictures of Coulter and Limbaugh having sex with children? What is the deal? How did he become considered a conservative? Romney
- Promised to outdo Ted Kennedy on gay rights
- bragged that he was an independent during the 1980's who did not support Reagan-Bush
- Was pro-choice running for governor
- once described himself as a strong supporter of gun control
- his major legislative accomplishment is socialized medicine

Than Romney. Heck yes, I’d rather have McCain than Romney. Romney is the least conservative, least trustworthy candidate in the Republican field. Romney raised taxes, put in place universal health care in Massachusetts (with a $50 co-pay for abortions . . . and the program is 400 million dollars over expected costs this year alone), Romney appointed homosexual activists as judges and has tried to have it every which way on the surge and on Iraq. I much prefer McCain. I voted Huckabee in Florida and am hoping some favorite sons arise as well in the states to try to bring this to a contested convention where a real conservative can be nominated. But I’m in the group that will not vote for Romney at all if he is nominated. First time in 27 years that I won’t vote for the Republican for President if that is the circumstance. Lucky for me, voters don’t like Romney so he won’t win the nomination.

You escaped from Massachusetts and now you want to afflict all of us with their Governor. Ack! I joke about escaping the liberals up there, but the sad truth is that taxes in Massachusetts are WAY LOWER than they are here in Georgia. State income, sales, property, we paid much less up there...plus there is no tax on food or clothing in Massachusetts, and there's certainly no stupid "SPLOST" option where counties can vote to increase their sales tax for pet projects.
