A pledge to never vote for McCain (Vanity)

If the unfortunate possibility of a McCain nomination comes to pass, I will not work for his election to the presidency, nor will I defend him in ad hoc conversations. He is wholly unworthy for that high office, and it is intolerable for my conscience to abide supporting him.

I will face two options once in the voting booth: 1) cast my ballot for a third party candidate, or 2) simply not vote in the presidential election.

I am curious who among you share my sentiments.

If Rommey doesn’t pull this nomination out (sigh), then McCain’s going to have to pick an outstanding VP candidate.

NOT Huckabee.

Thompson or Hunter would be fine by me.

I’d love to see a young, solid conservative as his veep. He’ll probably need it.

“That is a weak stand. So if I dont vote for a traitor because he sold out his own party and is a dispicable man...I somehow become responsible for his action to deliver our party that he left to the Democrats. Lol. I’m not weak. I’m a Romney delegate in the most liberal state in the Union. I would abandon my pride in a heartbeat before I’d abandon my country.

I actually think she would be better. There would be no “party loyalty” issues to compel Republicans in congress to support her proposals like there would be if McCain were to become President.

I tend to agree with you. The conservative movement can re-group after a couple yrs with Obama messing things up. But should Clinton get in it may take generations. I wont vote for either McCain or huckster. They will be destroyed by the MSM well before the election anyway.

Romney certainly wasnt my choice but now we are stuck with two vile con artist and they will drive the nail into the conservative movement.

No. The RINOs condemned us to that by choosing a candidate so repulsive to the Right that we cannot and will not vote for him. Don't blame us. We tried to warn people this would happen and you squishies did it anyway.

With McCain as the nominee, and the Dems voting in droves today, the turnout will be huge, and it will be against the Pubbies.

It will be 1984 in reverse to us.

We need a united party to have a prayer of a chance in November. Having McQueeg just split the party wide open.

Unless something changes, the Dems have won already.

And how is it treason against my country not to vote for a traitor to it?

McCain Feingold, McCain Kennedy, McCain Lieberman, Gang of 14, rights for terrorists, traitor to Vietnam POW/MIAs, scolder of the SwiftboatVets—how many times does McQueeg get away with treason before we call him on it?

No, the elites got what they wanted. A split, impotent Republican party that will be a minority for the next 30 years, and a green light ticket to Marxism for America.

I’m a conservative, not a “libertarian”. I reject their anarchistic isolationist stances, their core philosophy that conflicts with my understanding of Federalism, and their recent bizarre inability to understand basic finance (gold standard cultism & hostility to the Federal Reserve based on rants and incoherent 19th century theorists). I will not grant my vote to them either.

LOL I love it! For months Mitt supporters have been yelping at all those who said the same about Mitt (Ill stay home) they they and not Mitt would be at fault for hillary getting elected. There were calls of ‘if you dont vote gop youre voting for hillary’...

Now that the golden boy with silver medals is on the ropse the ‘Ill stay home’ calls are coming from them..

Throwing around the "t" word ... does that really make you feel like a patriot? You and the rest of your Republicans must be really proud of your party this day.

Conservatives with Constitutional Conservative principles that are not afraid to stand up and say, "Enough is enough" now get the label traitor.

Many of "us" disagree with you in the same manner our forefathers disagreed with the English.

It seems to this reader that your loyalties lie with Party rather than the Republic.

We all do what we do, hopefully based upon principle. Perhaps you do as well, but to label those of us that disagree with your "party principle" as traitors is despicable.

I suppose the write-in option is implied in proposing a third-party vote. It would be similarly effective, I imagine.
