I know he came back subsequently under a pseudonim...but was busted immediately. He freely admitted it. Hope he’s still alive and postin’
Worse still, since this election cycle began last year, the Democrats have raised more money than the GOP, and in the primary balloting that began last month, Democrats have turned out more voters. These numbers matter because they reflect the energy and commitment of the opposing parties in this year's presidential contest. That oughtta be a clue. Maybe next time, the party will coalesce around a conservative, and they'll get more $$$. It's called "incentive to listen to your constituents and not just take the 'knuckle-dragging Neaderthals called conservatives' for granted--or think you can say a few patriotic words, make a few rah-rah statements, and then govern the opposite way..."
Neither John McCain nor anyone in his campaign asked me to write this column. But I cannot sit silently while my fellow conservatives do to John McCain what GOP "moderates" did to me [...]"Did to me"?!? Wow, Ollie...how about recognizing that you're not a victim here. Whew...what arrogance, to think that those votes were yours and then they were just withheld from you.
If that's the way you feel, then perhaps "moderates" shouldn't join the party at all--so they can vote as they feel fit. Or conservatives should form their own party, if we are mandated to vote for liberals if they are nominated.
I'm not sure I like that idea.
If I just did’t vote and McNuts wins by one vote I could’t live with myself.
I believe in what Ann Coulter does, but I thought that before she did.
Sacrifice 4 years for the good of the Conservative movement. GO Obama!
Grow up, newbie.
LOL....
YOUDA MAN !
No Zot? IBTZ!
Don’t need to. I just don’t drink the McCain Kool-Aid. I also don’t vote socialist whether democratic socialist or the new republican socialist party. I am a Reagan Republican and will always be.
I don’t think this thread turned out quite the way End Times planned. But it’s a classic! LOL!
Thanks for eight years of Slick.
I am not a RINO, for I no longer claim to be Republican. On the other hand, a lot of republicans here seem to be CINOs - Conservative in name only.
Too many here seem to think that all elections must be won at all costs. Fact is that is simply not true. A really BAD candidate, once in office, can do more harm to his party than the other party could hope to achieve. At times like that, such a person should not be supported.
True, it is a risky policy, but life is risk.
This is not a republican site, last I checked. It is conservative. Maybe what really should happen is that we should start supporting constitution supporting conservatives, regardless of their party afiliation, or lack thereof.
Oh, and your call for banning is amazingly “McCain-esque”. Why do you hate free speech?
It is this type I was referring to in my original post. I can understand voting for one of the few sensible Dems or voting Dem for strategic purposes, but to outright support one over a solid Republican is inexcusable.
Is there something you find funny? Maybe determination to defeat our enemies and secure the safety of our country and its people no matter how long it takes?
I’m not the banning type, since I’m not a McCain supporter. However, speaking hypothetically, if I were to have to choose between banning Freepers who might vote ‘Rat this November to send a message to the GOP leadership, or banning Freepers who support amnesty, I’d ban the latter since they are more destructive to the party and to conservatism.
I swear...you RINO supporters would screech at us to vote for Hillary if she switched parties!
“Free speech for me, but not for thee.”
McCain-Feingold
It’s not my fault.....You can blame “Read My Lips” .... and then you can blame the RNC for the “It’s Bob Dole’s turn” strategy...... among other things.
Having said that, I don't think there's anyone in the modern Democrat party I could even consider casting a vote for, with perhaps the possible exception maybe of Joe Lieberman.
Ping!
I agree with Joanie F !
