Time to Stop griping about McCain and start working to defeat the 'Rats

Face it. It is all but inevitable that McCain win the race for the GOP presidential nominee. Get over it. McCain will be the GOP nominee.

The time for divisive talk about how much you hate McCain for screwing the conservatives and how he is a RINO and his other faults is over. WE are doing NO ONE any good by continuing to publicly air our grievances about him. I know, I have done my share. I don't like him one bit, but he will be a far better president than either of the two 'Rats.

With the atmosphere as anti-McCain as it is, it would not be hard for a liberal posing as another McCain hater to sneak in and keep throwing rocks at that hornet's nest. So let's tone down the rhetoric and the vitriol aimed at him and TRY to find a common ground with him.

McCain, we can hope to influence and guide. Obama and Hitlery will absolutely NOT listen or compromise on any conservative issue.

We know that there is absolutely no way that the 'Rats will make the Bust tax cuts permanent if there is a 'Rat in the WH.

We KNOW that any Supreme Court judge who retires or dies will immediately be replaces with a pro-abortion, anti-gun, anti-freedom liberal; probably from the 9th Circus.

We KNOW that there will be nothing but pure amnesty and absolutely no border enforcement if a 'Rat gets the WH. The 'Rats NEED poor, uneducated, miserable people to advance their socialist agenda.

It is time to stop bickering and hating McCain and stop the postings about how you will sit home and watch Obama or Hitlery become the next president. That is worse than stupidity. It is admitting defeat and quitting.

And I for one will not give up and pout at my home on election day.

So here it is:

McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!

What if McCain picked an outstanding conservative....top notch as his VP. Would you all still say [no]?

Nothing removes his stench from my nostrils. It is a matter of trust. He is untrustworthy, and without honor. He is a traitorous bastard.

Its time...to get past the anger..

It's time for you to accept reality. The numbers aren't there for McCain. It's doesn't matter if conservatives rally around McCain or not. John McCain does not have the numbers or the funds to defeat Hillary/Obama. 20,000 people just saw Obama speak at the Kohl Center in Madison today. How many will see McCain speak? Several hundred?

The 'road to ruin' is a long one of convoluted, exigent explanations and settling for the least inconvenient alternative. A little relaxing of princples here, more there, and there you have it - full-blown surrender of your basic (conservative) principles for the sake of fear and not knowing what the future holds.

Do you honestly believe the people who endured weeks, months of squalor, filth and harsh conditions coming to this country in rickety-assed ships thought about what's the most expedient alternative they had (we have now)? I don't think so. To accept this poser you say we must now vote for to avoid something worse is against all I (and, I hope many others) believe.

Not even! Not for a minute! Not Freakin' EVER!

Sorry, but I don't subscribe to anyone telling me how to vote. It's really none of the business of some idiot Washington pundit if I never have any intention to vote for John McCain.

I think it's pretty infantile to hear all of the pundits get all scared when they realize they've picked a loser, then start trying to justify their idiocy by mindless tirades about how McCain's a conservative and can beat Obama. He can't. We know his record. It's not acceptable.

I don't see any conservatives rallying to McCain's camp. Frankly, I'm considering any alternative. Maybe we need a political apocalypse to set people straight on what conservatives are willing to tolerate within their own party. Don't really care if it takes four year to get the message through. They can't do it without us, and they need us more than we need them.

Unless they're just a great lot of socialists anyways, in which case, what's the difference if we support McCain or not?

So, good luck with your guy. He's not my lead weight to carry.

Bite me. I'm not voting for McCain today, tomorrow, or ever.

See, I tend to look at things asymmetrically.

A McCain presidency would be bad for the GOP as near to half the party would never be behind him. That would cause a 'downticket' effect in 2008 and 2010 as conservatives failed to turnout to vote in Congressional races and in state representative races. McCain and his followers can bitch, cry, moan, and complain all they want, but core conservatives will not support him unless he clearly addresses their concerns - even then, most of us would have good cause to doubt his sincerity.

A Clinton or Obama presidency would galvanize the GOP base in 2010 to more than likely take back control of Congress and possibly insure a GOP victory in the Presidential race of 2012 and probably insure a GOP Congress and White House in 2016.

In this case, I'd rather see a Dem win this fall than McCain.

Of course, if Huckabee (or even Ronald McDonald) got the GOP nod over McCain then I'd vote Republican.

I wonder if McCain will apologize to social conservatives for calling them “agents of intolerance”.

The guy has a penchant for saying some unwise stuff, that's for sure.

His "100 years" remark about Iraq may be enough to cost him the election all by itself.

Sorry I’m going to support conservatives.

I'm with you. I'll vote for the conservative. Which nominee do you recommend?

Hi dog,
You’ve mistake resolve for anger. I decided 10 years ago not to ever vote for McCain. I’m not angry anymore. But you can take it to the bank that I won’t vote for him.
It’s a little late for McCain to be courting the votes of the people he’s been stabbing in the back for years...

Sorry, the Constitution comes first, before me, before you, before any of the nominees, and yes, before our armed forces - because it is the reason why we fight and who we are.

I trust the Constitution, it has protected our rights and our country from tyranny and from enemies.

I trust the Constitution more than I trust a man who has willingly and blatantly spit on it with McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, and McCain-Leiberman.

I trust the Constitution more than anyone demanding I prostitute my love of the Constitution for someone else's dream of power. I trust and defend the Constitution - but McCain does not, else he would never have assaulted it so many, many times.

I trust the Constitution and so must reject McCain as well as the other two candidates.

McCain violated the letter and spirit of his Oath to the Constitution more than once. To give him more power as a reward for such treachery is not rational - in fact, it is unthinkable.

I cannot and will not vote for an unabashed, serially confirmed, and backstabbing enemy of the Constitution no matter what. Voting for such a person is spitting on the Oaths of all who defend and protect the Constitution from foreign and domestic enemies.

The prospect is not either/or. It is simply no choice - there is no one "annointed" as a nominee who has not declared his or her emnity to our Constitutional Republic.

Thus, we must ensure that enough true Americans get into office in the Senate, Congress, and State & Local elections, because from there we can fight. Voting in a man who has shown his contempt and hatred for our Constitution is not even an option.

I’m with you. Our choices are McCain, Hillary, or Obama. Wishing otherwise will not change that. Voting third party might give some a nice warm fuzzy feeling but that will fade when faced with the socialist policies of Hillary/Obama.

As long as McCain is taking money from Soros, I can’t see he’s a bit different from the Dems.
