I think that the problem is that no matter what they do there is going to be a Islamic state there. They face a similar issue as the Israelis. Either give them their own state or let them to continue to populate and push their way into the political folds of the existing nation and loose thereby loosing their own sovereignty. For example we don’t have to go any farther than Spain, France and soon Britain. It is a paradox that has very few win scenarios.

Or a three-way war? It was ugly and there were no heroes.

This is a tragic event, but it’s going to be worse for the Serbs, since the Russians are going to use them and dump them when they’ve served their purpose.

Why are we on the wrong side of this? I ask that sincerely because I’m not conversant on the issue.

We were told by the Clinton media that the Serbs had rounded up 100,000 Kosovo Albanians and were beginning to massacre them. Clinton had General Wesley Clark lead NATO on a relentless bombing campaign. We killed about 5000 Serbs, mostly civilians. After Serbia surrendered, the UN investigators found several hundred dead Albanians. The Albanians probably had murdered as many Serbs if not more. The long and short of the matter is America led the EU to separate the province of Kosovo from Serbia. We clobbered Christian nation to create a new Islamic one. Now, Bush validates this horrific looting a nation of its territory.

The following shows you the ethnic makeup of Yugoslavia's political leadership from 1980-1991. As you will see, the Serbs were under represented for their around 40% of the population; while Slovenes at about 9% had more power than the Serbs. They got angry when Milosevic tried to make it more fair to Serbs and for Serbia to get more control of its own provinces (which were made autonomous by the communist government in 1974) and were politically controlled by Slovenia in hostile fashion towards Serbia, and thus Milosevic was their excuse to leave (even though they had been working for independence secretly with Germany and Austria for a decade):

The Trepca mines I thought were in south Mitrovica, though some of its processing centers are in the north.

Clinton was duped by the albanian islamists and sided with islamist extremists in their war of genocide against Christian Serbians.

More likely the Saudis slipped him a few bucks to aid the Muslim side

Wow Joan! What happened to the Roman Catholic churches in Serbian occupied Croatia and in Republika Srpska? All blown up. What a disingenuous liar you are.

Time will tell, But I don’t think Independent Kosovo is going to have a long or happy existence. Without the US in the picture this never would have happened. Wait till the USA is busy with other things and pulls out her troops.
Maybe the next big war will start in the Balkans after all.

Correct. Joan’s propaganda is relentless, but just like the Serbs themselves, it’s defeated when a light is shined upon it.

Yet the JNA was solidly pro-Serb in its politics.

Yet the funds for the highway to be built from Zagreb to Split were diverted to Serbia to build the Belgrade-Nis highway.

and so on, and so on......

You may be able to fool some of the people on FR, but it won't get you Kosovo back.

When John Bolton, Lawrence Eagleburger, and Peter Rodman say that America has acted naively, as they blithely go down this perilous path in Kosovo, I agree with them 100%.

I've concluded that we were on the wrong side in this conflict.

I think you've concluded correctly. I heard Lawrence Eagleburger predict that blood is going to flow there, and for some time.

As far as I know drugs, and the victims of human trafficking seem to be Albania's main source of income, so I really think the US has gone round the bend on this one.

Surprise, surprise. The world takes the easy way out. Wait until one of their own ethnic minorities wants to secede and see how quickly the appeasers in the world take the easy way out, all over again.
