CANTON -- The jurors deciding the fate of Bobby Cutts Jr. have spared the former Canton police officer's life. The jury instead recommended he receive life in prison without parole rather than the death penalty for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Jessie Davis, last summer.
Breakdown of sentencing for Bobby Cutts Jr.
Cutts was found guilty on a total of seven charges. Below are the charges with the sentence received on each count in ():
Murder--for the death of Jessie Davis (15 years)
Aggravated murder--for the unlawful termination of Jessie Davis' pregnancy. (Life in prison without parole for 30 years)
Aggravated murder--for the death of baby Chloe. Ohio law provides for such charges involving a viable unborn child or a victim involving a child younger than 13. (Life in prison without parole for 30 years)
Aggravated burglary--for trespassing into Jessie Davis' home in order to commit the attack.(10 years)
Gross abuse of a corpse--(2 counts) for the treatment of Jessie Davis' body and her unborn daughter's following their deaths (2 years, 1 year on each count)
Child endangering--for leaving the couple's young son, Blake, home alone in his mother's home after the murder. (6 months)
The sentence collectively works out to a total of 57 years behind bars without parole. Cutts is currently 30 years old.
Cutts only faced the possibility of the death penalty in connection with the convictions on the two aggravated murder charges, involving the death of his unborn daughter, Chloe. In the end the jurors chose to recommend life in prison without the possibility of parole for 30 years rather than the death penalty.
The judge sentenced Cutts immediately following the jury's recommendation.
But before imposing the sentence, the court heard from members of Cutts' defense team, the prosecutor and members of Davis' family.

With the appeals process for the Death Penalty that results in 20+ years of non-executions, I think the possibility of NO PAROLE sometimes will be more painful to the a##hole (pun intended).

Chloe, on the other hand, never had a chance to utter even one cry.... didn’t have a chance to be born. I don’t think Bobby shed any tears for her, though.

Durst said the guy died of natural causes and then he cut him up? Did the medical examiner agree that he died of natural causes?
Lynching served a purpose, and when caught in the act, towns knew what to do with the perp's.
The boy will be 60 when Cutts gets out, assuming he gets out.
He'll kill a guard, or a visitor, or another prisoner ~ usually a white collar criminal.
All the jury has done in turning this puke loose is to condemn at least one other innocent person to death.
I bet they feel good about themselves, but they shouldn't.
He will convert to islam and “everything will be everything.” The POS should have received the death penalty, but the jury must be Obuma voters.

Just look at the photo of him as the sentencing verdict was read, or video at that time, see the tiny little smile playing on his face and even pride. It’s OJ verdict deja vu.

I can kind of understand the grandmother though. I doubt she cares anything about the guy that killed her daughter. She is all about her grandson now who witnessed this. Does she want to help kill his dad too or let him later on at a point work thru this himself and be able to confront his dad with why? I wouldn’t be too hard on her. There were probably a lot of what ifs she had to deal with. Let him smirk. He won’t be for long and the outcome will be the same. He still dies.
No, Durst and Black had argued (Durst said) while Durst was holding his own gun and it ... well, you know ... *discharged* ... and umm, Black was shot in the face and died.
Durst readily admitted getting drunk and dismembering the body and throwing the parts in the bay - he said he panicked because ... now think about this ... he would be a suspect, since he was already under investigation in another death close to him.
(That was the woman who was researching the Mob for a book about her father - or, maybe it was her best friend - details are fuzzy for me at this juncture, lol.)
I can never remember his first name, whether it’s Richard or Robert, which is why I didn’t post it.
It’s Robert Durst, so just google that and you’ll find all kinds of stuff about him. I have a file full of notes somewhere, but have lost track of his last bizarre actions.
we had a weekend house on Galveston Bay when this happened and I remember thinking that body parts could have washed up under our dock. But strangely I didn’t pay much attention until the jury let the creep off. the jury had to have been bought off, don’t you think?
Seems like the body parts washed up right away, somewhere near the wharves - like at the curve on Harbourside or thereabouts. East Bay, anyway - maybe just east of the Causeway - not around beach houses.
The big news about him was when they set bail at $1 billion after he bonded out on the first low bail, then jumped it.
Yeah, there may have been some jurors paid off - I can’t recall exactly what came out afterwards - but he had DeGeurin (I think it was the “eu” brother) who pulled all kinds of fancy footwork, of course.
I remember when he was supposedly being electronically monitored and then showed up at the house in Galveston of either the judge or the DA or the jury foreman - no, wait, he ran into one of them in the Galleria one day when he was supposed to on home confinement, lol. He did whatever he wanted to.
I’ll see if I can find the latest on him somewhere. Last I recall, he had a condo in the Montrose, but that’s been a while back.
