“Decline to State” 17.38%
So shamed they wont admit the party they align with or they just cant pronounce it ? I lived in Auburn for a few years and I believe he is solid .
Bump for taxation with representation .
I think there are a variety of reasons, from all sides of the political spectrum. I'm so disgusted with the CA GOP, I'm tempted myself.
From analysis I've done of votes, on a statewide basis, DTSers usually end up voting at a ratio close to that of Dem/Rep registration.

Hold on now .. At least you and I along with others here would know what we stand on .

I’ll buy that from you . Seems like folks who lose there way generally come home . I dont know much on the matter of statistical analysis but having read some very informative words from you over the years I’m trusting in the numbers .
Here’s to Mr.McClintock ;)
Yes I saw your picture with the gang and realized that its a small world in southern Fresno County.
I would go one step further and suggest McClintock build up his seniority in Congress before bolting prematurly to run for statewide office again. Katherine Harris found that out the hard way when she quickl gave us her safe congressional seat (that she could have held as long as she wanted) to run a quintoxic campaign for the U.S. Senate that everyone told her she'd lose.
As for the need to get a conservative candidate for Governor in 2010, there's already a solid individual in the state who is qualified and available for the job and has the name ID to go up against a RINO like Steve Poizner. His name is Duncan Hunter. Unless Huckabee gets elected POTUS and makes him the next Sec. of Defense, he'll be free to hit the ground running in 2010.
Tom was a great candidate during the recall but after three loses and zero wins in his statewide campaigns (the last occuring after he drank the "RINOs will deliver the state to the GOP" koolaid), it's time for him to pass the mantle to someone else.
Believe me, he'll find out being a Congressman holds a lot more prestige than a state Senator. Peter Roskam (one of those unapologetically staunch conservatives who supposedly "never won" in 2006) told me so himself when he got a personal tour of the White House from Dick Cheney after he was elected to suceed Henry Hyde. When he was in the general assembly, he was "Peter who?" to people from outside Illinois.
McClintock is a good candidate, but whether he can draw significant libertarian support remains to be seen.
