And we're getting another foot tonight/tomorrow AM. The day we break the record I want Al Gore in a thong bikini clearing out my 200' driveway.

Hey OCCASparky,
It’s me, GI JANE. Wassup? Well, I had to shovel about 1 1/2 feet of “global warming” off my drive way the other day...more is on the way, and Gore’s fat ass is no where around to help.

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Luckily, mine throws real good. My partner’s wife blew the engine on his about a month ago and the guy has been shoveling by hand...except he isn’t as young as he used to be. He’ll be a real happy camper this morning in anticipation of tomorrow!

Wassup?
HEEEYYYYYYYY!!!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{GIJANE}}}}}}}}}}}}
It's amazing, really--I thought being in Idaho/Colorado/Wyoming as a kid would prepare me for this. Nope--not even CLOSE.
I was in Boston a couple of weeks ago and even though I'm not quite two hours north, the contrasts were stunning. Hardly any snow on the ground in Boston, a little more in Seabrook on the NH border, but by the time you get to my place, it's like driving through a tunnel with no roof. Most of the side roads are now lane-and-a-half instead of two lanes. I'll have to post some pics after the snow lets up tomorrow, provided this thread is still going.

Snow? What snow??
Here on the coast of VA, we haven’t had enough snow to hide the grass in the yard. And what we did get only stuck to the ground once.

Thanks for a very good laugh this morning. Our driveway is 450' steep and curvy. We purchased a new snow thrower.. heavy duty machine. My husband who loves winter... is finally getting sick of all the snow. We will all be living in a gigantic igloo.
Where is the Global Warming?.... Oh yeah, lots of snow because of global warming....

Well then, come on up. Bring a spoon. I have a leach field vent somewhere in the front yard (it’s normally 4 feet high). I think I saw it last between X-Mas and New Year’s.

Yeah, but just think of all the water you’ll be supplying for us in CT. Not that we need any. It’s been raining (thank God) not snowing most of the winter.

Oh, and I guess you haven't heard yet about the one coming in Sunday night after the storm you're talking about, eh?
My wife bought me a "Wovel"...
Most useless thing ever invented. Used it once then threw it in the snowbank so I wouldn't have to see it again until spring.

I’m surprised at you all. Everyone KNOWS that Global Warming causes widespread cold and snow up to your ears. THE DEBATE IS OVER!!!! It’s OVER It’s OVER It’s O-O-O-OVER!!!! It’s a PROVEN SCIENTIFIC FACT that you can’t repudiate, because we will have to send you to the Gulag for reprogramming, and that’s in Siberia, where the Global Warming is so bad the snow would be up over the angels’ ears, if there were any such thing as a more deified spiritual form than Al Gore. I mean, how can you even THINK of questioning the man? Why, he got D’s in science in college, and you know they only give those to the people who are so smart they make the professor look bad.

Born and raised in upstate NY. (Way back, when the whole state was conservative.) Was snowed in twice. Got tired of shoveling the weather. No plans to ever go back.
It was 80 degrees for the last few days here and forecasted to be the same into the middle of next week.

Sorry, but more snow’s what you’d expect from global warming, at least until it gets so much warmer that the increased precipitation (the result of increased evaporation from increased warmth) falls as rain.
