I must be missing something, a brokered GOP convention? Huck wasn’t even close to McCain in delegates.
I’m with Kansasgirl, this was a ridiculous plan. 9% of republican voters in TX voted for hillary, giving her the victory and momentum with superdelegates. IMHO, a clinton obama ticket assures GOP defeat in November.
He didn’t need to catch up to McCain, he just needed to keep him from getting 1191 pledged delegates. If Hukcabee wins Texas, it makes it much harder for McCain to clinch. If Rush had asked his followers to vote for a brokered convention, Huckabee would have won Ohio and Texas and we would have had a brokered convention.
