Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism."
In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.
Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."

Exactly. If you, me, or any decent person joined a church and heard that kind of venom and hate coming from the pulpit, we wouldn’t stick around for even the next sermon let alone for twenty years!

This is the same as McCain attending a Christian Identity “church” for 20 years. It is EXACTLY the same thing.
That being said, I actually wish McCain had been going to a Christian Identity church for 20 years. That way we could get rid of him.
This will not affect Obama in any way what-so-ever. You are aloud to hate white people in America.

This will certainly help Hellary. Its interesting how Rush is now working for her.
To me it doesn’t make a whit of difference if Rev. Wright retired. What does matter is that Obama didn’t walk away. Obama doesn’t get any “credit” for the split, because if the Rev hadn’t retired he would probably still be Obama’s pastor.
If Obama claims to regularly attend this church, wouldn’t it be great if we could spot him in the crowd footage on any of the inflammatory clips?

We’ve been trying for 16 YEARS to destroy Hellary using the crap you refer to. It didnt work. Obama will be easy to destroy. Let him take out Hellary, then we take him out.
And wasn’t he engaging in politics during those services? Wouldn’t that have violated the church/state separation myth? If so, why wasn’t the IRS alerted to these happenings? Seems like removing his tax-exempt status would have shut this guy up.
