Obama camp: No, Newsmax, he wasn’t there for the sermon on July 22
Hot Air ^ | March 17, 2008 | Allahpundit

An (almost) airtight alibi, refuting the charge that he was present in church and nodding along last summer when Wright indicted the “United States of White America.” So much for Newsmax’s credibility. People were ripping on me in the comments to the Juan Williams post for having called the Messiah a shrewd politician but just look at the game he’s got us playing here — trying to place him physically at the scene of any single sermon at a church he patronized for 20 years, as if absent that evidence we might have to believe his feigned ignorance. Newsmax’s info was bogus? Well, maybe he really didn’t know after all!

Actually, I like this explanation better. Wait for it. About halfway through.

“... but there is no evidence that, over the course of twenty years, he has moved his own minister past anger and bitterness.” The man and his racist wife think enough of the ‘message’ hate-whitey-hustle to bring their children for inculcation in it! Obama is a flatout liar and even indicated he was with his stealth message to the Canadians. All politicians are accused of being liars, professional liars. But this goes beyond that and amounts to 20 years of being personally inculcated in this message. Americans don’t want that sort of preparation for their presidential candidate, surely!

If I may pose a question; I recall reading somewhere that Obama was given a Secret Service detail earlier than usual, but not sure if it was that far back to last July.

But if it was, isn’t their itinerary and travel schedule a matter of public record? How could we go about checking to see where they were on that date?

whereas Hillary Clinton has over 50% chance of winning the Presidency.

JV, I respect the hell out of you, and appreciate your translations, but I think you are dead wrong in assuming that HRC has OVER a 50% chance of winning the Presidency. It is - indisputably, hands-down - less than 50%. More than half the country can't stand the woman!

I agree with you. Those who will come to Obama’s defense are the very fringe, radical and polarizing leaders that we have seen before. They are outrageous and they won’t convince anyone who isn’t already suspicious. It’s not like he has a credible line of respected leaders who will chime in for him. The usual race-baiters will be the ones to line up. The longer the line, the faster his candidacy goes down the tubes. The longer this story is hot, the longer it may take for the public to forget it. Obama may be back in the future. Anyone who participates in this racist church (including Ms. Oprah in the past) deserves to have this church connected to them. That means, yes, all the members who attend it regularly and donate funds so the Rev. Wright can drive his Porsche. Keep the connection going, IMHO. The Repubs don’t have to do it. All we need to do is make sure it doesn’t get buried.

My guess is the “Reverend” has probably made so many hate filled speeches that Philo 1962 probably did see Osama, whoops, I mean Obama at one of them, just not this particular speech.

Good point and yes it did. Found your answer: May 3, 2007 (so about two-and-a-half-months prior to July 22 of that year).

If the Dem’s want to win in November, they need someone other than Hillary or Obama.

McCain won't take Arkansas, but he'll win both OH and PA. Remember, Hillary has high, very high negatives. She - like Obama - cannot win a general election.

Hillary only won Ohio because the contest was between her and Obama, not between her and McCain.

I just want to hear all sides, and then put everything together, and make my own decision.

Same here, jdm, so I appreciate your efforts and am just following along.

Well, the secret service was with him at church then, any time he want after May 3, correct?
So there is a definitive record of exactly what dates Obama did attend church.
Are the Secret Service logs of where they were on a given day public record?

I doubt it. Ping to DFU because I think he'd know the answer to that question.

Obama, if he is not already toast, will be toast in the general election.
He has about 0% chance of winning. The country is not going to go from electing people with names like Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Nixon, Clinton and Bush and turn around and elect “Barack Obama”. Most of your blue-collar union Democrats will run to vote for her, but will not vote for Obama. Same with white women, they’ll run to vote for the queen but will resent the racist undertones of Obama’s campaign and not vote for him.
