YouTube and cellphone video cameras have certainly been a boon to the cops. What more could you ask for than your perps filming themselves in the act?

Always send the 500 pound guy to get the food. They never forget anything.

Just screw Del Taco and get its food for free. I don't find theft a funny matter.

“I think they’re trying to stick anything on him that they can.”
Well he certainly made it easy for them. What a maroon!

Six feet tall and weighs 5500 pounds ?
Send him to China to ‘blend in.’
Scamming Del Taco? What, paying 2.00 for a burrito is just too much? Good grief, it’s not like the guy is starving or anything. What a dork!

Leave the gun. Take the canoles.

“We never intended it to be anything criminal. It was ridiculously blown out of proportion.”
I wonder which part of “Thou shalt not steal.” was so difficult for him to understand?
Perhaps he’s of the opinion that it’s OK to steal from “big corporations” because they live off the backs of the little guy! /s

Looks like his next meal will be a burrito in a can.

...detectives identified the 32-year-old Echeverria as a gang member and obtained felony second-degree commercial burglary warrants for the arrests of him and his two 18-year-old friends.
Sweet justice.

Looks the only one “blown out of proportion” is the perp at 6-5, 500 lbs. He’s had one too many taco..

Echeverria netted the feast from a Rialto Del Taco by calling the manager to say he was a local CEO whose lunch order had been botched and he didn't have a receipt. He used the telephones to commit fraud. They can add "wire fraud" to the theft charges if they want to.

Felony second-degree commercial burglary and bail set at $125,000.
Seems a bit odd for stealing $15 in tacos.
