Iraqis living in Everett see the five-year anniversary of the war as a time to celebrate the future of their country.

Thank you for posting this, USMC Brat.
Good post.
I saw something on the news tonight - probably the same one. A local Iraqi had gone back to Iraq and he and some others on a bus in Baghdad were arguing about the war, etc. Finally one Iraqi guy said something like “If it were not for God, and Mr. Bush, we would not be on this bus having this discussion!”
The local guy went on to say how they all laughed - then they all talked about how they would either be dead or in a prison or torture chamber.

Everett is a good, pro-military, traditional kind of town, for the most part.
But I decided to get the he77 out of Washington altogether after that Democrat scumbag stole the governor's office.
Nancy Pelosi wants them all to die... but to do it quietly and quickly this is an election year after all....
It truly is a shame that the liberals who make the decisions that will make our country less safe will not be the only ones impacted during the next terror attack on America... Just doesn’t seem right.
Brat thanks for the post.

“Militant anti-war/military protesters need to listen to the Iraqi man in the second video! He goes into great detail about the service and salvation American troops have given to Iraqi’s.”
They won’t nor will the main stream media.
And, because there are so many gullible, sheepish liberals who believe the rhetoric these Dem leaders spew about the injustice of the war, they have garnished support throughout the U. S. and abroad for the hatred of Bush and this battle. But it is only their political arses that they want to save. Either they will see to it that Bush fails miserably as they have hoped all along...or they will keep stalling things (like money for the troops, etc.) until the Democrats will (in their dreams) take over the White House and they can claim the victory.
That is how they have been planning since the first day troops stepped foot in Iraq. It is nothing more than a political game for them, and the lives of our men, the lives of innocent Iraq people who suffered under Huessein, none of those matter. As long as they can paint a dreary picture of the U.S. efforts, and keep people angry they will make sure Bush never gets any credit for anything he did that was right, nor that there are any Iraquis who are grateful and doing well since we began this effort.

Allegra, sorry if you've already been pinged to this thread. I believe you have the bandwidth to view these newscasts of Iraqis celebrating 5 years of freedom courtesy our troops. Spread the news, please.
At my university I listened to a lecture by Tahir al-Bakaa, the former Iraqi Minister of Higher Education. He originally was a professor at Mustansiriya University, but Saddam hand-selected him to be the Minister of Ed., so he had to quit his job and join the Ba’ath party.
Anyway, he talked about the situation in Iraq and when someone asked him if it was really as good as we’ve heard, he immediately said yes. He praised Petraeus for working with the tribes in Anbar and thinks we’ve made lots of military progress since the invasion. He also said “Thinking of withdrawal is thinking of defeat. It should be done step by step.” That’s what so many libloons fail to realize.
Wow. Thanks for posting this.
EXCELLENT videos! Those Iraqis nailed it. You’ll never see them interviewed by the MSM of course....
Thank you for this video. Isn’t it something what that man said too. Too bad the left can’t think the same way and instead they do violent things against our Recruiting Stations and protest our soldiers.
Keep Iraq Free!
Here's another insightful well-informed Iraqi living in America. Is there a transcript or video of the lecture from Tahir al-Bakaa?
It would be so beneficial for MSM to locate and interview Iraqi's who know a thing or three about the benefits of the Iraq War to the citizens of Iraq.
All three national news networks should have these two video links (if they open their email). The ball is in their court. It may help to get MSM to cover this if more people request coverage on the benefits of the Iraq War.
what news was that?
Sounds like a t-shirt screenprint...
And of course, the people who claim to speak for the Iraqi people will ignore this.
Still, good news nonetheless.
The cure for ignorance is education...educate yourself by watching the video.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!
I think the lecture was recorded on videotape but as of now it’s somewhere in the university and unfortunately I don’t really know how to get access to it...
I suppose the director of the Middle East studies center would know, since she was there at the lecture. Supposedly al-Bakaa is supposed to be coming back in a few years as well, if plans don’t change. It’ll be interesting to see what the situation will be like then and what he’ll have to say about it.
Thanks for the ping. Great videos...they came off a little choppy, but I was able to get the gist.
Spread the news? They all know about these things in my neck of the woods. ;-)
and you’re surprised???? LOL ain’t the Blame Stream Media just SCUM.
Thanks for your reply. I was hopeful there would be something available on the internet that could also be sent to the news networks.
It’ll probably take several requests for media to cover the positive outcomes, but these two videos are a starting point. They’re too consumed with the drama of Election 2008.
I’ve sent the videos to my Congressman (D-INO) and Senators (both R).
