“There is three and a half years between Olympics to elevate this issue. Instead, they choose to disrupt the Olympic Games - a world event hosted in different countries each time.”

...and there are many more years of brutal repression by the Chinese. You must not want the Chinese to have the truth revealed about their “society.”

By the way, are you a member of the Communist Party?...or just a wannabe?

Who chose NOW to disrput the Olympics?

China initiated these events.

negativity directed towards them is their fault, no one elses.

I get it— ignore the violence- at least ‘til the game is over.....I’ve known some sports fans, but geeshk....

Would you ignore a man raping a woman in your living room during the Superbowl? You think you might bother doing something about during halftime?

The footage you saw has already been identified as ChiCom propaganda and MSN/Yahoo are in hot water over their bias. I’m sure you knew that but decided to use the garbage fed by the ChiComs anyway.

Since you seem to be such good follower of ChiCom propaganda and post from China ever so often, can you also ask the ChiComs to stop their forced abortions and Han resettlement in Tibet?

As a FReeper and a conservative, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind supporting freedom and liberty for Tibetians.

The Tibetians are not Islamic extremists - they are Buddhist. Geez...I thought you were a FReeper and a conservative - even if a misguided one.

OTH, you share all the characteristics of the ChiCom trolls tht post here. However, even the trolls here don’t lie about the Tibetians’ religion to mislead people while you do so shamelessly.

What is China supposed to do, sit back and watch

What China is supposed to do is get in their trucks and tanks and drive home and take their ethnic cleansing policies and Han people with them.

China invaded this country in 1958. They have committed atrocities against the Tibetans since then. They attacked peaceful protests by Buddist monks which in turn set off the current rioting by the population.

Am I getting through to you my friend?

If you guys think China is going to leave the region, you are crazy. As soon as China leaves, Islamic fundamentalist take advantage of the weakend situation and move in.

And to the poster with the lack of reading comprehension, no statement was made that the indiginouse people of Tibet are Islamic fundamentalist. The point, as stated above, if there is a void in power created, Islamic fundamentalists from the west will move in.

Someone get out a map and tell me what countries are to the west of China.

Go back and read the post. No one said they were Islamic extremists. Look at the situation from a Chinese national security stand point along with a map of the countries to the west and you will get the point. Stop sounding off emotionally without looking at issue.

So what you are advocating is that they Olympics be used for political purposes. Is that your position? It is a very simple question. Awaiting your response.

“The footage I saw was of protester attacking ambulances with patients on the way to the hospital, of protestors burning down entire blocks. What is China supposed to do, sit back and watch.”

Well their taking people out and shooting them for being Tibetan doesn’t seem to be calming the situation. Perhaps sterilizing some more Tibetan women might help as an alternative. Perhaps not though.

The footage you saw has already been identified as ChiCom propaganda...

The footage I saw was in Chinese language with Chinese people being interviewed. I saw protesters burning entire blocks. I can read the signs on the buildings that are being burned and destroyed. CCTV is not an objective source but they can not fake that.

There was rioting in the provinces with innocent people getting killed at that the hands of the protesters. That was reported by world media not just CCTV.

You say the footage is propaganda. Of course it is. But the footage I saw was not fake? Can you make that distinction and address the question forthrightly? Do you support the lives being taken by those rioters?

“Someone get out a map and tell me what countries are to the west of China.”

England, Germany, Italy, Sweden, geeze there are a bunch. How far west should we go? Should we also look east to the Mongols? They have an interesting history of being oppressed as well.

“Then you are supporting Isalmic extremist taking hold of the region. Are we going always repeat our mistakes. Look what happened in Afghanistan. Can’t the U.S. just mind its own business.”

Tibetans are Islamic terrorists now? Hmmm thats a new one. And what did happen in Afghanistan, peace breaking out all over the place?

We would like to mind our business but people keep asking us for help.

“? Do you support the lives being taken by those rioters?”

What are Chinese businesses and Chinese people doing in Tibet?

Answer driftdiver’s question first, ChiCom genocide fan. This is the first time I’ve seen a FReeper epousing chicom “national interests” on this forum. How much are they paying you to post this garbage?
