It gets worse, here in the Pacific Northwest.
Stupid Washington voters just enacted a law that says the top two vote-getters go to the ballot, the parties appealed it, and the Supreme Court said it’s fine as it’s written.
Stupid oregon wants to adopt that same law. They say it allows more centrist applicants to political office.
The result will be, though, that in race after race, instead of the two candidates on tha ballot being members of different parties, reflecting differing political stances, the two most popular names will be listed instead, meaning that in most races the candidates will be two liberal Democrats and NO Republicans, no conservatives!
It’s absurd...they may as well just give the election to the liberals and skip the expense of printing ballots.

All they need to do is enforce the damn laws they work so hard to create, and stop treating the USBP agents like thugs and criminals.
But God is not the "creator's name". The name of the particular God of the Hebrews is Jehovah. That "god" became The "God" when the Hebrews developed the theory which was reinforced by the victory over Sennacherib of Assyria in 701 BC (kind of like if the US attacked Grenada and Grenda winning).
Just because Monotheism thrived and developed doesn't mean the capitalized version of god is becomes the name of that single God. The word "God" still refers to Jehovah. Kind of like referring to the President generally means POTUS (as opposed to the president of a company). Still referring to The President doesn't necessarily name that specific individual.
Thus, not writing "God" is just exagerrated over-bearing self-righteousness. But hey, that's just my opinion. And, it really doesn't keep me awake at night.

Wow! You seem to overlook that this is a conservative forum, not a liberal or even moderate Republican forum. I would suggest you should perhaps think twice about who you tell to “Shut your stinking trap!”

Unfortunately, that thinking and manner of voting is exactly what is responsible for the leftward drift of the republican party. The only thing that I see is going to stop the drift is a flat out refusal to vote for a liberal with an (R) following his name.
There is a great deal of mental gymnastics going on in the GOP when standing on principal becomes 'looking silly', as you put it. Another couple of election cycles and the republican party will look exactly like the democrat party and the only responsible parties will be the voters that followed along blindly.

They really are not. Even if you buy the premise that McCain is pro-war, Iraq won’t even be an issue by election day. The candidates are identical on everything else.
