the incident occurred Saturday, when two children were playing in a tree next door to Ramirez-Sliwinski’s house.

She said the parents were outside supervising the children, but she went over and told them to get out of the tree because she was concerned about the boys’ safety and because the small magnolia tree was being damaged.

The father of one of the boys told her it was none of her business, she told the Chicago Tribune, and “I calmly said the tree is not there for them to be climbing in there like monkeys.”

Why did she even say ANYTHING? Not her tree, not her property, not her kids, not her business.

As an aside, was the tree in the neighbors yard?

We'd be better off if we could figure out a way to just shut out what our neighbors say to us. Now if they do it in writing and go down to the courthouse to see if the government will take action against you, that's something else.

Just what is going through the minds of the government up there in Carpenterville that they think a neighborly admonishment regarding safety is "disorderly conduct"? Buncha' fascist cr*p Fur Shur. Is this the place the Nazis retired to after going up to Skokie to scare the Jews?

I agree, but from what they said on the news, the neighbors already didn’t like her because she was always complaining ‘turn the music down, watch your kids etc’. So they basically jumped on the opportunity to get her.
