Looks to me like they are going to breed themselves out of existence. Sooner or later more and more kids are going to be born with this disorder. Once it hits a 50% birth rate of kids born with the disorder they are done. Remember the Egyptian royalty of ancient times.

Marriages among first and second cousins have been common for decades in the community, where religious doctrine requires men to have at least three wives to gain eternal salvation.I bet there are also a number of uncle/niece marriages.
