Psalm 54:2

Hear my prayer, O God;
give ear to the words of my mouth.

TOPICS: Culture/Society; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: pray; presidentbush; troops; victory
Heavenly Father,

You are our hiding place, Great God. You preserve us from trouble and You surround us with songs of deliverance. You instruct us and teach us in the way we should go; You counsel us and watch over us. Let our mouths speak Your praise, O Lord on this blessed day that You have made, and let all flesh honor Your Holy Name for ever and ever.

Hear our prayers for Your servant, George W. Bush as we seek Your highest blessings for him. Help him always to walk humbly before You. May he never be consumed with his own power, but instead may he always derive his power and strength from You. Help him to understand that You are the vine, and he is a branch, blessed with all power, ability, and strength from the vine. We pray that You would fill him with the knowledge of Your Will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. We ask for Your special favor to be upon his marriage, that You would grant him and Laura a love everlasting. Increase their commitment to You and to each other, that they may honor You by holding sacred their vows to each other. We ask that You would continue to protect them on their journeys and enable them to arrive home safely no matter where their responsibilities take them. Renew and restore them at the end of each day, Lord. Help them to be each other’s friend and confidante, and let their relationship be founded upon Your unconditional love.

Lord, we know that You hear our prayers and we thank You for the faithfulness You have shown us and for the blessings that we enjoy as Americans. We ask You to continue to defend our country. Please protect our military personnel and give them tremendous vision as they carry on this war effort on behalf of all Americans. We boldly pray for victory, Lord, as we acknowledge that NOTHING is too difficult for You. Restore in our nation the firm resolve for liberty and justice for all, and make us ready to sacrifice whatever is needed in order to obtain Your very best for the peoples of all nations.

Please bless those who visit this thread each day and all who lift up our President and America to You. We ask You to inhabit our prayers and make them pleasing to Your ears, that we may honor You. We pray that Your highest blessings would descend upon America and upon Israel, Your chosen. Be exalted, O God, and may the Heavenly Hosts praise You with joy and gladness. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Lord-
You know all things. We know Your love for us is greater than any amount of love we could even think about giving You. Lord, I pray that the same love You show us will be given in double portion to President Bush. He has done so much for this country. You know his heart. Lord, I don't think I have ever heard a President in my lifetime be more open about his faith. Lord, this is all because of you. It it You who put in the White House. I pray that you would send angels to protect he and his family during this time. We don't know what tomorrow brings, but I pray you would bless him in his final days in office. In Jesus name...Amen

O Holy One of Israel, hold close the ones who hold You close to their hearts. Look with mercy upon our beloved country, for there are many who still remain faithful to your beloved people. Thwart any plan that would tear the Promised Land and your beautiful Jerusalem asunder. In praying for the Peace of Jerusalem, we hasten the day of Your return. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

May every blessing fall upon our Brother President, that he might continue to lead our beloved country in the way that You would have him go. Keep him from veering to the left or right, but make straight his path with Your wisdom and guidance. Wrap him in Your Grace, that he and his beloved family might leave office with inner peace, knowing that they have served You, and us, to the very best of their abilities. Even now, Lord Jesus, bring forth that one who will assume office ... we pray that he would be a man whose love for You would be evident.

May the most precious of our treasures ... our sons and daughters who serve in the military ... be kept safe by the Holy Angels. Grant them good success in all that they do, for they go forth in the name of truth and justice and liberty. Bring forth strong leadership within Iraq and Afghanistan, that our defenders would soon know the warmth and love of family and home. Let nothing interfere with complete victory over our enemies, O God, that peace and stability will arise in these troubled lands.

To You, O Lord, be all Glory and Honor and Majesty and Praise, for You are God, and by Your Grace and Mercy, we are Your children. Eternal Praise to You for Your Redeeming Love. Amen ...

Yes, Lord. How precious is that peace that we long for our President to enjoy. May he have no regrets, and may he enjoy with great fervor the rest of his days in office. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Agreeing with you in prayer. I believe we will miss the tremendous witness of George W. Bush once he is out of office. His strength of commitment to Christ has been a true blessing to this nation.
