Lesbians riot at Smith College speech
WorldnetDaily ^ | May 2, 2008

Posted on 05/03/2008 10:58:36 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Rioting lesbians have stormed a speech by "Born Gay Hoax" author Ryan Sorba on the campus of Smith College in Massachusetts, shutting down his address, according to two major pro-family organizations, Americans for Truth and Mass Resistance.

"Beware lesbians with frying pans (if you care about free speech)," AFT said in his announcement. "Lesbian activists at Smith College just couldn't stand by and let a young critic explain his views about the supposed innateness of homosexuality – so they stormed Ryan Sorba's speech on the 'Born Gay Hoax' and forced him to end it prematurely."

"Thus they decided for everyone in the room – supporters, foes, the curious and the undecided – whether Sorba's arguments would be heard. Stalin would be proud," said AFT's Peter LaBarbera.

"Brian Camenker, Amy Contrada and the dedicated folks at MassResistance.org have captured the totalitarian episode on film for the world to see. Kudos to MassResistance for once again chronicling the anti-democratic antics of the 'gay' Left for the record. It is absolutely shameful that Smith College and Massachusetts authorities would allow Sorba’s First Amendment rights to be neutralized in – of all places – the academy, which is supposed to be a place where opposing ideas can be debated freely," he said.

President Carol Christ noted in a memo "to the Smith Community" after the attack that "on a pragmatic level, after about 10 minutes the speaker could not be heard" and suggested a strategy to defeat such statements that homosexuality is not innate.

"When faced with the visit of a controversial speaker, our challenge as a community is to reaffirm our commitment to teaching and learning. Hearing the views of someone with whom you disagree affords the opportunity to sharpen one's own counterarguments, displaying the weaknesses in their reasoning or evidence," she wrote.

Lets take that one step further. Your child is to be born in 3 months, the Dr says that it has been identified to be a carrier of the ‘Gay gene’. You decide to abort it. Is this a hate crime? Should you be ‘forced’ to carry to term to support diversity?

If the rioting bulldykes had been thinner, it might have looked like one of those beaches up in the arctic where walrus by the thousands congregate.

Romans 6:23 indicates, the wages of unrepentant sin is death, spiritual death.

Absolutely. And that includes, pride, lust, hate, jealousy, envy, idolatry...and a host of other "lifestyle" sins of people not homosexual.

My point is we in the Church, like America at large, tend to wink at "common" sins, whereas we cringe at the homosexual (even when an adulterer is sitting next to us). Church should be a place where people come to be forgiven--with only their consciences condemning them. True forgiveness though means repentance for everyone...and all have sinned.

"When our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, said "Repent", He called for the entire life of believers to be one of repentance." --Dr. Martin Luther, 1st of the 95 Theses.

Amen & Amen !!!! Jesus Christ came to save us from our sins, not in our sins, that is why He was called Saviour. “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) “For He (God) hath made Him (Jesus), who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

The days when traditional womens' colleges produced ladies, or even women with class, are long gone.

The old days, as recently as the 1970s, produced lovely women like this one:

Sigh .... this is what we now see from Smith's own web page. Over half of the female images were like this:

I'm with you. I think maybe 10% of today's gays are born that way, and 90% make the decision.

My example is the best friend of a friend of mine. A New Yorker, lived an incredibly licentious gay lifestyle for about five years at all the New York bathhouses, was extremely lucky to have opted out before AIDS became rampant in the gay community by the late 1980s, and today is a 52-year old with two children. I don't think his wife or children know about his lifestyle back then.

Dennis Prager has documented that homosexuality, at least amongst men, increases significantly when society's morals drop. The reason is that men will switch over if the sex becomes easy and there is no more disapproval.

Yes, that is true, Therefore, if any man (or woman) be in Christ, He (or she) is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Back when they identified themselves as
“sexual preferences” one of my sons said, “If it is a peference, why ddon’t they make a better choice?”
As I see in Romans “God gave them up unto these thing “ because they refuse to receive God’s provision for their choices.

No one is born that way, they are merely trapped in that lifestyle by choice (their own or an evil person’s molestation/abuse of their body and or minds)!

They may also be entrapped demonically in this lifestyle-in WHICH case they ALL need Jesus-the Savior and only way to know God, and true freedom from this perversion!~

To the left, Peace is “You must agree with us”.

Tolerance is “You must accept our lifestyle decisions, not matter how deviant, or depraved, as a normal part of the human condition. Any criticism, however slight is to be treated as a depraved attack upon our god-given right to do what we want, when we want, regardless of the effects on those around us.,

——If people are “born gay” that would mean that there is a “gay gene” that has yet to be identified. Should this ever be identified, would gays really want that information to be let out given pre-natal testing and the easy availability of abortion “services?”——

Especially since President Bush signed into law the Newborn Genetic Screening bill.

Our rights to freedom of speech are being systematicly destroyed by liberals.

I've seen and argued with prominent FR posters when they championed using the same technique the lesbians used.

The response by the president of the college, Ms. Carol T. Christ is the usual namby-pamby dishwater, but this part stands out:

At 8 p.m. tonight, at the Academy of Music, Smith is offering a free public screening of Freeheld, the Oscar-winning documentary by Cynthia Wade '89 that chronicles a lesbian couple's struggle for legal and property rights. It stands in contrast to Mr. Sorba's views of a "born-gay hoax" – and both perspectives, whether one finds them compelling or offensive, fall within Smith's commitment to free expression of ideas and values.

So, we didn't allow one side to be heard, but we'll be sure to make the other side available as well. As if the "other side" (pro-gay) isn't being taught at the college already.

P.S. How much of a "struggle" could there be? Power of attorney and a written will would pretty much cover it all.

I got in a debate with some liberal friends tonight and one said that I need to be more “open” to other views. I didn’t back down. I promptly said that “open” doesn’t mean agreeing with them, it means listening to their arguments and still being free to say that they are BS before proceeding to completely refute them. They had a hard time with this concept.

I repled that if there was genetic proof then there could be genetic testing, and I'd welcome you and everyone else to the Pro-Life side. That freaked her out and she left me alone. I'm guessing that she wasn't pro-life at the time, but I gave her something to think about.

Really? Are there activist groups promoting "adultery rights" out there? Do shoplifters sponsor annual "Theft Pride" parades? Do wife-beaters insist that they be allowed to run sensitivity training in our schools and businesses?

There's a reason people "cringe" over homosexual activity--it's because homosexuals are demanding that society accept and affirm their disgusting practices in ways that few deviant groups have ever dared.

If people are “born gay” that would mean that there is a “gay gene” that has yet to be identified.

It could also mean that these people have been exposed to abnormal levels of hormones or some other substances before birth.

The main problem with fully accepting homosexual and other perversions, is that it lowers the bar of morality. Already, we are being set-up to accept pedofilia as normal, with NAMBLA on its way to becoming a civil-rights organization with sicko political patrons and judges to take up their cause. “Won’t happen,” some of you say? When abortion became the law of the land, most people did not foresee that it would lead to infanticie and euthanasia.

Yes, I heard stories about gay bathhouses that curled my toes. One fellow was a grandfather whose wife fully supported his gayness. Probably his grandkids too. A wonderful down-to-earth guy, a good friend, but an emotional wreck who flew into very gay hissy fits about whatever. Probably bipolar, certainly confused.

A good, good friend went out and I swear intentionally acquired HIV. That was 18 years ago, and my friend is still going strong, looks more like a movie star than ever. But tellingly, he reproached me one day for “wearing that sexy blouse” because, after all, “I’m a gay man, but I’m still a man, and I don’t want to be attracted to you.” I’m sure he could have gone either way, but not with me, as I realized how dangerous he was.

The 1989 book, The Gods in Everyman by psychiatrist Jean Shinoda Bolen, describes the Poseidon man, a major type, who may be a leader but is also artistic and creative, inclined in later years to turn to male lovers. (Leonard Bernstein) Because I work in a creative, artistic field, I know plenty of these guys. They make great girlfriends up to a point. But there’s always a limit to such a friendship because one day, he may turn on you with no warning and for no discernible reason except an inherent distrust of women. I really cannot fault them, certainly cannot hate them, and don’t even feel sorry for them. What is is.

Glad your friend escaped the life in time to save his life.
