I saw it alone...very very good! I had additional people I wanted to take to see it and was shocked to see it was already pulled.

Has anyone explained movie theatre economics to you?

I read that to mean he saw it unaccompanied, not that he was the only one in the theater. Seeing your tagline, I see why you defaulted to a more desired interpretation.

Because it’s not out on DVD yet, and the release date hasn’t been announced, but it’s ratable because it’s out as a movie. Amazon doesn’t even have it.

Any guess on how long it may take for HBO to films to DVD Market? Same as thetre releases?

I’m excited to see John Adams, as well.

On last Thursdays figures the average audience per showing was 4-5, so I see nothing to rule out a possible screening to an audience of one or fewer.

Every time I receive a movie from Netflix, I shoot a bird toward Blockbuster.

I’m still waiting on my second season of Dexter (which ended broadcasting a few months ago), however I’m so many seasons on my Wire episode watching that the principle
actors will die of old age by the time I finish the series.

Well my 7 and 11 year olds who would normally be really into it fell asleep......but they were really tired. So don’t take that as a rating. Just make sure they are well rested.

LOL! I’m so out of the loop ~ we haven’t had TV in our home for nearly 12 years. I’ve never even heard of either program. We have collections of “Seinfeld” and “Frazier” on DVDs, my wife got into discs of “LOST” via Netflix a few years back. That’s pretty much it. Never saw a single episode of “Ally McBeal”, “Survivor” or “American Idol”.

I assume there are good programs out there in TVland. I wouldn’t know where to begin to find out if they are worth watching?

I heard about “John Adams” through Hugh Hewitt’s radio program. Hewitt raves about “John Adams” and wants to make the show required viewing for high school students. That’s praise enough for me to require it for my 10 year old.

It’s pretty much “talking heads”, although to be fair, we do get full torso shots, and a very fascinating view of David Berlinksi reclining in a chair.

I haven't had cable or regular TV since 1991 so don't be ashamed.

I've got a boob tube, DVD and netflix.

I'm catching up on over 20 years of non-viewing.

No yet released on DVD. Only went to the theaters a week ago. Give them a little more time. Not sure what the lag time is for DVD. It’s going down, but is not yet ZERO.

“I haven’t had cable or regular TV since 1991 so don’t be ashamed.”

No shame. Just braggin’! ;0)

For the most part, I miss alot of cultural catch phrases that pop up’ “”I’d hit that.” “Is that your final answer?” stuff like that. They get dropped into casual conversation and I’m like “duh”!

Then there is other cultural stuff that I don’t miss. Several years back there was a big stink on the radio about a girl named Paris Hilton and something that she had done that was the toast of yuckmeisters on the AM. At he time, I really had no idea who the girl was or what she had done. That was never discussed by the AM talkers.

What could possibly go wrong with doing a little internet research??

Well,...I’ll tell you,... Never, and I mean NEVER, “google paris hilton”, especially if your wife is standing behind you.

I think it would probably be a little over their heads, but you should go see it and rent it for them when it comes out.

Enjoy!
