The story of the day, as shown in LifeNews is carried on a separate thread by wagglebee. As we have shown time and again, the media perpetuates lies using the old Hitlerean method of shouting them loud and long, so that the lie may be perceived as the truth. It actually works in some cases with those of feeble resistance and even some otherwise reasonable FReepers. And that is why the media cannot let go, once they start. They are locked in to their own propaganda train and it won't stop. Neither will those hooked to the train stop...

......................................

Orlando, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Terri Schiavo died from a painful starvation and dehydration euthanasia death at the hands of her former husband over three years ago. Yet, Terri's family is still having problems getting the mainstream media to report the story of her life and death accurately.

In the most recent case, the Orlando Sentinel newspaper is under fire for a news article that wrongly referenced Terri Schiavo as "brain dead."

On Saturday, May 24, 2008, Aaron Deslatte, a reporter from the newspaper, published the story with the erroneous claim.

Terri's brother Bobby Schindler called and left repeated messages for Deslatte to contact him about the language.

On Wednesday, Orlando Sentinel representatives told Schindler to speak with Dana Eagles.

'Bobby kindly informed Mr. Eagles that using the phrase 'brain dead' to depict Terri's condition was patently false, explaining that the term 'brain death' is an authentic medical diagnosis and not an accurate term to describe a person in Terri's condition," the family told LifeNews.com in a statement.................

From the Baptist Press...

.............................

We were in San Antonio initially because the Hefleys asked my husband and me to help distribute copies of Jim's newest volume of "The Truth in Crisis" on the controversy in the SBC. His book had been banned from the Baptist Bookstore and he wanted people at the SBC annual meeting to have access to it. I was a part-time student and full-time employee at Hannibal-LaGrange College in Missouri, where my husband John, an Army reservist, was studying for the ministry after 12 years of active duty.

As a fledging journalist enrolled in Jim's writing for publication class, I also would be able to see up-close how one goes about covering about something as foreign as the annual meeting of the SBC.

~Snip~

Two years later, after San Antonio and under Jim's careful tutelage, I left my first-ever major news story -– and a film canister -– on the editor's desk of the Hannibal Courier-Post in Missouri. Missouri Citizens for Life, a group with a large number of Southern Baptists, had a huge presence at a St. Louis rally, and I went along as a volunteer to cover the event. I think it was Marti who tracked me down later that day and told me the afternoon edition of the paper had run my story and photo with a large headline on the front page above the fold. My career as a journalist was launched. More importantly, years later, as I sat in front of the hospice covering the starvation and hydration death of Terri Schiavo, it seems strange irony – no, providential – that I would have been uniquely positioned to cover that story for more than two years...............

Alarm! Friday 13 comes to theaters near us a day early!!

Hide the sick, the kids, the old, quickly!

The Dems are coming to get us!

The message should be very simple. For the incumbents who supported the Iraq war, the bankruptcy bill, the Terry Schiavo grandstanding, the tax giveaways to the rich, the endless gay-b aiting, the war profiteering, the rollback of privacy, the sanctification of torture, the pitiful lack of congressional oversight, the two recessions and the obliteration of New Orleans, there should be only five little words:(my bold) We are coming for you....

After the Landslide... Democrats should not be in a forgiving mood.

Grave consequences in Clearwater area again. I wonder of judgie poo is involved...

CLEARWATER, FL. -- A Tampa widow claims the body of her deceased husband was exhumed from a Pasco County cemetery and shipped to Texas, without her knowledge or permission. Priscilla Mellette is expected to file a lawsuit against the cemetery tomorrow morning, according to her attorney.

Attorney Tom Carey told ABC Action News.com Melette's husband died in a traffic accident in  Alabama in 2001. He was buried at Trinity Cemetery in New Port Richey. Carey says Mellette's mother-in-law had the cemetery dig up the man's body, in February of this year, and ship it to Texas, for burial there.

Carey says the case reminds him of Terri Schiavo, where a spouse and parents argued over whether to remove Schiavo from life support. In this case, the man's wife and mother are at odds over where he should be laid to rest.

In Britain, they get the terms confused and the difference between Pro-Life and Pro-Lie is unclear. They are trying to buy an "f". Thread by wagglebee.

LONDON, June 11, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - During the debates on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill, pro-life people in Britain were shocked when prominent members of the All-Party Parliamentary Pro-Life Group (APPPLG) made statements in support of legalized abortion.

Dr. John Pugh, a Vice-Chairman of the APPPLG and a Catholic made the astonishing claim, in the debate on May 20, that "even the Catholic Church sanctions therapeutic abortion." Pugh maintains that it is only what he called "consciousness" that confers the right of a person not to be killed.

Pugh went on to say that "irrespective of any religious view...justification for abortion becomes enormously harder from the moment when the foetus becomes conscious or responsive to pain." He said, "Frankly, there is no basis for giving anything a right other than that it is conscious, and there is no more significant event in the life of any being than becoming conscious".....

Ahhh, death with dignity. Suicide is so dignified especially if others do the suiciding. I recall Lisa MacPherson who got suicided in the same manner as Terri and that action perhaps in store for Lauren. Thread by wagglebee.

London, England (LifeNews.com) -- A British woman has won the right to force England's prosecutors to reveal when they will charge someone with participating in an assisted suicide. The case involves a woman who wants to head to Switzerland soon to kill herself at a euthanasia center and she doesn't want her family charged when they return.

Debbie Purdy has multiple sclerosis and she plans to go to a Dignitas euthanasia facility in Switzerland to kill herself as the condition worsens.....

License to Kill...

With James Bond and with doctors in L.A., you just can't go killing people willy-nilly unless you have a license. Thread by wagglebee.

But now I am really puzzled. Just what is medicine? Are executioners just practicing medicine? Are arsenic and cyanide just medicine to administer to the sick by the sickos?

Los Angeles, CA (LifeNews.com) -- Two owners of a chain of abortion businesses in southern California will face a trial on charges of practicing medicine without a license. Bertha Bugarin and her sister Raquel pleaded not guilty to putting women's health in jeopardy after they did abortions despite not holding a medical license.

On June 6, California Superior Court Judge Samuel Mayerson ruled after a three-day hearing that there is sufficient evidence to try the Bugarins for practicing medicine without a license.....

I gotta agree with Wagglebee here. I quite often google freepers to see where they stand/stood on Terri’s right to life. I have yet to find one person who opposed Terri but expressed reasonable views on any other subject.

I didn’t know all of the freepers who were eliminated on the bug zapper thread last year, but I knew quite a few of them. And of all the ones I knew, every one of them opposed Terri Schiavo. Now, Terri Schiavo had nothing to do with the bug zapper thread, but most of her detractors were eliminated there. Because they were unreasonable across the board.

I think indirectly Terri did have a lot to do with the bug zapper thread.

The bug zapper thread was about how liberal Rooty was and how his supporters were okay with his liberalism. The main focus of this was abortion (nearly all of the Rooty Rooters were pro-abortion) and the pro-abortion crowd is nearly always pro-euthanasia.

Now it is one of T'wit's ear worms stuck between my ears and I can't get it out!!!

Where have all the fly bots gone, long time passing?
Where have all the fly bots  gone, long time ago?
Where have all the fly bots gone?
Gone to boot hill, everyone.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?

Yes, Terri did have an indirect effect on the bug zapper thread. But that’s just it. There was no direct connection. The same people who opposed Terri, opposed every conservative value. They supported Ruity Tuity the Fruity because of his pro-death views. They weren’t banned specifically for their support of the murder of Terri Schiavo. But their support of her murder shaped their entire belief system, so that they were incapable of opposing any evil, or supporting any good.
