Here in Maryland we defeated GOP Congressman (18yrs) Gilchrist.(who became more and more liberal over the years)- in our primary. Andy Harris a true conservative won and we hope will win in November.
But Gilchrist is out!!! the RINO supporter of higher taxes, abortion, big spending, pro Homosexual, free trader..
He was supported by BUSH, NEWT, and the GOP in the primary by the way..tells you where the GOP leadership is at.
Honestly, I think what you lay out as a plan is exactly what the Dems have done to 'water down' the conservatism of the Republican party.
Dims and RINOs are kicking conservative butt BECAUSE THEY CARE MORE! I remember when conservatives were motivated back in 1994. For example, Steve Stockman beat Jack Brooks (dim) who had been in Congress for over 40 years. Steve had over 2000 volunteers in his organization with 30,000 contributors to his campaign fund. THAT’S MOTIVATION! Where the hell was the money and volunteers for Hunter, Thompson, Brownback, et al? Conservative influence in the Republican Party is DIRECTLY RELATED TO OUR CONTRIBUTIONS!! Whining will not win anything for us.
