US Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the veteran lawmaker from Massachusetts who is the last surviving brother in the legendary Kennedy family, has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, his doctors said today.

Specialists in Boston and around the country said the information released indicated that Kennedy has terminal cancer and might have only a limited time to live.

The really frightening part is this will make John F'n Cary the senior senator from the Bay Gay state.

he survived college and even passed the bar..../sarcasm/

I say that remembering the rumors of how he cheated his way thru college and somehow cheated his way to pass his bar exam....all rumors....

what did the Bible say.....good will be called evil and evil, good....

I'm getting old enough to not care about mincing words anymore....

God speed, Mr. Kennedy...God speed....

When someone you dislike says something stupid, have at it. When They slip on a banana peel, feel free to laugh.

When they develop a brain tumor and will die a slow, painful death, please demonstrate proper decorum. I wouldn’t wish what he has on anyone.

Prayers for a long healthy retirement for the Senator.

I hope he recovers, but I hope his party loses in the elections.

no - I didn’t forget that.
I put that in the “accident” category.

Meaning that I don’t think he intentionally drove off the bridge.
But when he managed to get out of the car, I do think he intentionally decided to not help her.

He also did not take Communion when Pope was here so hope he makes peace with his faith and his HP before he passes.

Don Wade on WLS and other comics were pretty rough on him the last few days thinking that he would recover.

While I’ve often criticized Senator Kennedy, this is sad news and I’m sure very difficult for his family and he. I’m sending out my prayers and my warm thoughts on their behalf. I hope he does get well or achieve a state of comfortableness soon. I wished that no living creature had to suffer with ailments of this sort, and regardless of what I believe of Senator Kennedy’s politics, I do wish him well in what is sure to be an uphill battle for his health.

I think we all feel we would like Sen. Kennedy to go away, but I also feel and hope others agree, not this way. I don't wish this kind of thing on anyone.

And what would the prognosis be under Hillarycare or Obamacare?

Brain cancer - 18 months.

My husband lived for alomost 1 year to the day with brain tumors and chemo/radiation treatments, Dr said he would only live 1-3 weeks without treatment...at the Senators age I cant imagine them giving him very long even with treatment

I’m sorry for your loss. Isn’t there another Senator from the East who beat brain cancer? I can’t remember his name, but he was on with Rush for a small segment awhile back—Oh, Arlen Spector?
