US Senator Edward M. Kennedy, the veteran lawmaker from Massachusetts who is the last surviving brother in the legendary Kennedy family, has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, his doctors said today.
Specialists in Boston and around the country said the information released indicated that Kennedy has terminal cancer and might have only a limited time to live.

Mary Jo’s family are all dead. She was an only child. Her father died Dec of 2003 and her mother died Dec 2007.

As long as Senator Kennedy endorses abortion, I fear for his soul, and pray that he might repent -- as we are all sinners.
Let those who might possibly gloat on this sad situation for the Kennedy's be reminded that the founder of Freerepublic is quite ill.
Please put personal stuff aside and may the Admin's penalize hard anyone who tries to gloat on the sad condition...
I am not sure how can attend to business in the Senate if his condition is serious... It might be best for the Senator to take a leave of absence or resign, and attend to his health...

The Kennedy’s, as a family, have certainly given the full measure of devotion to this country.
No question... I hate their politics. But, I respect, and admire the passion they bring.
In all of my life, I will never hear a more moving speech than that given by Ted, at Bobby’s funeral. For that alone, I will always respect the man.
