Short but serious question:

So, what's it gonna be folks? Turncoat RINO or America hating Marxist?

I used to listen to Genesis. I don't know how I missed that. My only excuse is that this election has me all twisted up. LOL

Oh well, maybe I'll throw myself a pity party tonight to see if I can get out of this funk I'm in.

Pity parties are not allowed. :)

Especially since all I have to offer in way of snacks and treats is microwave popcorn and diet coke.

Count your blessings instead of sheople.

I have many and I thank God for them.

Yours counts WAY more than mine will, I'm from Illinois.

****************

I'm from Massachusetts. What do you think my vote is worth? I still plan to vote, but it's pretty much a meaningless exercise.

Call me insanely positive whenever I go to our polling place. :)

I take exception to your nasty post to Jim. Haranguing a convalescing man is just low.

You don’t like this website “torpedoing” leftist RINOs. You want it stopped. Sounds like lockstep to me.

I will NOT vote for McCain. I despise him. I don’t have a shred of respect for him AND I think he’s insane. At least Dole was an honorable man.

He’s already said he doesn’t want or need conservatives, anyway. I guess I agree with him on one thing.

#1 - And you don't think John (McCain/Feingold) McCain won't do it?

#2 - And you don't think John (Amnesty for all) McCain won't do it

#1 and #2 - You think John (I'm the leader of the GOP) McCain with a Republican OR Democrat congress won't do it?

The Republicans will back him because they're supposed to.
The Democrats will back him because it will be what they would do anyway.

First, and most important, welcome back Jim.

If the Manchurian Candidate defies the odds and nominates a real conservative for VP (FDT, Sanford, Jindal, Coburn are the only possibilities that come to mind), I may consider pulling out the industrial strength clothespin for the head RINO.

Otherwise, I will write in John Galt for President before voting for conservative candidates down ballot.

I will be encouraging every conservative I know to do the same between now and November.

You had a big hand in making this McCain bed, and I think it’s time you slept in it.

What EXACTLY does that mean? What in the world did Jim have to do with McCain's bed?

You will notice that I say “next socialistic President” in my post, meaning EITHER Obama or McCain. This time around, it doesn’t matter who the next POTUS is because either one will be the same on most issues, and, with the next Congress possibly being a majority of socialists, if McCain is the next POTUS, then the next U.S. Senate will just end up voting against all of McCain’s conservative judicial appointees anyways. Also, if the next Congress is a socialistic majority, then they will also vote against President McCain on all War on Terror issues as well as override all of McCain’s vetoes. Truly making the next Congress as conservative as it could possibly be is the most important thing for all “non-leftist voters” to do on November 4.

You truly believe that McCain will try to appoint conservative judges?
If so I think you better take a look at his statements again.

Also, if the next Congress is a socialistic majority, then they will also vote against President McCain on all War on Terror issues as well as override all of McCain’s vetoes.

The same way they did with President Bush?THIS congress has a socialistic majority, counting RINOs and left leaning Rs like McCain.
As far as the WOT goes, nothing will change in the short term no matter WHO gets elected.

I'll tell you something. One of my political hot buttons is Hillary Clinton. I have deviled her, The tale of the Double Devil FReep , I have tried my best to shut her down HARD.

May G*d forgive me because FReepers won't, I almost hope Hillary wins the election.
At least SOME of the Rs might grow a spine and push back. In addition, the Clinton's have made enough enemies within the Democrats that they might have trouble there too.

Hope that you are feeling better, Jim!

And thanks so much for asking the question.

Neither.

Probably will vote Bob Barr, not because I want him personally as a president, but because his values are closer to mine and I want my Conservative vote to count as “a Conservative vote”, not just as “a RINO” vote.

Glad that you asked the question in the way you did, because I just can’t stomach McCain — and thought that it might mean I got the FR boot because of it.

I’ll vote John McCain, but not out of love or support for the Republican Party. Sadly, I think as of this point in time that Obama has the momentum. Too many stupid people willing to throw their freedom away for the promised comfort of a nanny state.

Welcome back. Been hoping you’ve been getting better.

Well, I’ve had Senator McCain as a senator for many years, met him a couple times. Wouldn’t hesitate to loan him a twenty, and wouldn’t kick him out of a backyard barbeque if he crashed it.

But because he’s wrong on the border, he can’t have my vote. Since AZ is his anyways, I’m just going to vote for congressional races and leave the presidential race to those able to hold their noses enough. I just can’t give him my vote - it’s a precious thing, you know, and his positions have made him not deserving of it.

It’s my choice, it’s my vote, and I judge that he’s not worthy of it.

Sorry. Hope he wins, but would have preferred a conservative to vote for.

Which reminds me: Does anyone know if it’s illegal in California to vote while intoxicated?

Another important question : what's the best drink for the occasion? A cheap rotgut - something befitting the task? Any ideas?
