After 20 years he turns his back on his "faith". I see that as a lack of character and spine in the face of adversity. What manner of linguine-spined behavior would he exhibit in the face of negotiations with enemies of the United States. My guess is that he would cave in that situation as well.

True. Obama had no desire to burn his bridges when he was the underdog. As the almost-presumptive nominee he now had to burn those bridges he swore he never would and thus he has to win the nomination/election or he's S out of L.

I thought the Obama excuse was all of this was just out of context and had no relationship to what Obama went to that church for or what he’d ever heard from these figures he personally knew and politiked with for 20 years.
