Obama lost the election today.

Obama said he and his wife, Michelle, had notified the church in a letter Friday that they “were withdrawing as members of Trinity,” in part because of “a cultural and a stylistic gap.”

I watched him talk about quitting his church, and I have to say that was the most uncomfortable new conference I have ever seen, the media continued to ask him more uncomfortable questions... pathetic scene

"History will show the end of Obama's candidacy began today."

Probably more wishful thinking than anything else ... nothing short of that dead-girl-live-boy thing will tank this guy's candidacy, and I'm not exactly sure that would do it either. He is as teflon as anything we've ever witnessed in politics.

Who writes his stuff? What does the term cultural and stylistic gap mean? Does one leave a church because of style?

He can't bring himself to admit that he's been attending a racist church for 20 years. The press should, but won't, ask him just when and how he discovered thts gap in culture and style.

To paraphrase the recent message of his Church that Obama is only NOW trying to disavow (after 20 years):

"I want to know if you're honest enough to address the one who says, 'Don't hold me responsible for what my Church did.'

But you have enjoyed the benefits of what your Church did.

And unless you are ready to give up the benefits, throw away your marriage certificate, throw away your children's baptismal certificates, throw away all the money that's been put into your campaign by your Church's congregation, throw away all the proceeds from your book that you titled from a sermon given in THAT CHURCH and give up the VOTES of those in that Church that supported you for 20 years...

...UNLESS YOU'RE WILLING TO GIVE UP THE BENEFITS, THEN YOU MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT WAS DONE IN YOUR CHURCH BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BENEFICIARY OF THIS BLACK LIBERATION THEOLOGY!"

I'm not one going around saying that Barak is a muslim, but according to muslim law, once a muslim, always a muslim, and the only religious Identification as a youngster was muslim.

Add to that, Obama kept saying that his daughters were baptized at TRinity, but was HE ever baptized? If you're not willing to accept public identification with Christ through baptism, to what extent is it possible to call yourself "Christian?" I'm not saying it's impossible, but it shows a lack of commitment, to say the least.

“We probably won’t make any firm decision on this until January, when we know what our lives are going to be like.”

What!? Does Barack Obama have some doubts where he and Michelle will be? I would have thought they would be picking out churches near the White House by now. They would probably feel comfortable with the Foundry Methodist Church-Oh wait that may have been the Clinton’s Church.

Obama said he has “tremendous regard” for the church community, but said he could not live with a situation where everything said in the church, including comments by a guest pastor, “will be imputed to me, even if they conflict with my long-held, views, statements and principles.”

And there's the rub...how can somebody belong to and financially support such a church for over twenty years if it indeed conflicts with his "long-held views, statements, and principles."

FALSTAFF
Stand here by me, Master Robert Shallow; I will
make the king do you grace: I will leer upon him as
a’ comes by; and do but mark the countenance that he
will give me.

PISTOL
God bless thy lungs, good knight.

FALSTAFF
Come here, Pistol; stand behind me. O, if I had had
time to have made new liveries, I would have
bestowed the thousand pound I borrowed of you. But
‘tis no matter; this poor show doth better: this
doth infer the zeal I had to see him.

SHALLOW
It doth so.

FALSTAFF
It shows my earnestness of affection,—

SHALLOW
It doth so.

FALSTAFF
My devotion,—

SHALLOW
It doth, it doth, it doth.

FALSTAFF
As it were, to ride day and night; and not to
deliberate, not to remember, not to have patience
to shift me,—

SHALLOW
It is best, certain.

FALSTAFF
But to stand stained with travel, and sweating with
desire to see him; thinking of nothing else,
putting all affairs else in oblivion, as if there
were nothing else to be done but to see him.

PISTOL
‘Tis ‘semper idem,’ for ‘obsque hoc nihil est:’
‘tis all in every part.

SHALLOW
‘Tis so, indeed.

PISTOL
My knight, I will inflame thy noble liver,
And make thee rage.
Thy Doll, and Helen of thy noble thoughts,
Is in base durance and contagious prison;
Haled thither
By most mechanical and dirty hand:
Rouse up revenge from ebon den with fell
Alecto’s snake,
For Doll is in. Pistol speaks nought but truth.

FALSTAFF
I will deliver her.

Shouts within, and the trumpets sound

PISTOL
There roar’d the sea, and trumpet-clangor sounds.

Enter KING HENRY V and his train, the Lord Chief- Justice among them

FALSTAFF
God save thy grace, King Hal! my royal Hal!

PISTOL
The heavens thee guard and keep, most royal imp of fame!

FALSTAFF
God save thee, my sweet boy!

KING HENRY IV
My lord chief-justice, speak to that vain man.
Lord Chief-Justice Have you your wits? know you what ‘tis to speak?

FALSTAFF
My king! my Jove! I speak to thee, my heart!

KING HENRY IV
I know thee not, old man: fall to thy prayers;
How ill white hairs become a fool and jester!
I have long dream’d of such a kind of man,
So surfeit-swell’d, so old and so profane;
But, being awaked, I do despise my dream.
Make less thy body hence, and more thy grace;
Leave gormandizing; know the grave doth gape
For thee thrice wider than for other men.
Reply not to me with a fool-born jest:
Presume not that I am the thing I was;
For God doth know, so shall the world perceive,
That I have turn’d away my former self;
So will I those that kept me company.
When thou dost hear I am as I have been,
Approach me, and thou shalt be as thou wast,
The tutor and the feeder of my riots:
Till then, I banish thee, on pain of death,
As I have done the rest of my misleaders,
Not to come near our person by ten mile.
For competence of life I will allow you,
That lack of means enforce you not to evil:
And, as we hear you do reform yourselves,
We will, according to your strengths and qualities,
Give you advancement. Be it your charge, my lord,
To see perform’d the tenor of our word. Set on.

I lived through Carter. Yes, McCain sucks, but he won't destroy the military, give away the Panama Canal (an example of a US strategic asset), turn his back on an ally (as Carter did to the Shah of Iran) or go on national TV and tell us that we suck (the "Malaise" speech.)

I can't hardly believe this anymore. The dems are holding this guy up as the one most qualified to make decisions leading the United States, 300 million people, even though he has a history of continually making amazingly poor choices in his personal life, e.g., surrounding himself with losers like Wright, Farakhan, Pfleger, Ayers, etc.

Now he throws them all under the bus and backtracks on his religion, something that is deeply personal and important. And listening to him now, we find that he values getting the presidency even more than his religious beliefs by putting them on hold.

Wow.

No, but he wants to hold all white people responsible for what a few white people did 150 years ago.

The 1857 census (look it up) showed that there were more than 3600 slave owners who were free black people. Should their descendants receive reparations, or should they pay reparations?
