Very good point. There is no more shame in politics anymore. If this tape was released now Obama would try and ride it out till the convention. If it is released right before the convention the superdelegates might see no other option other than abandoning Obama.

A one word explanation, POWER, the same thing that drives every dictator and would-be dictator. That means more to many people than religion, creed, race, money, or anything else. They live and breathe for power over other people's lives, and they will do whatever it takes for them to achieve it.
My guess is that the Republicans have the tape and they will wait until Hillary drops out. If the Democrats had the tape, they would have accidently released it by now, tossed Obama overboard and started re-igniting the Hillary campaign. Everything Hillary has done until now can be passed off as “old news” so the press can get on with the new, revitalized, historical first female candidacy.

This guy is a rabid pro-hillary lib. I hope that what he says is true but I wouldn’t put a whole lot of stock in his “sources”.
If the tape exists, I can see where it would create all sorts of dilemmas. Team Clinton would be desperate to get it out immediately before the convention but they wouldn’t want their fingerprints on it. That means having the Republicans release it and take credit for it. The Republicans, on the other hand, would be stupid to release it prior to the convention. Why help Hillary when you’re going to have to run against her in the general election? By holding it back, they can sink Obama and stick it to Hillary at the same time.

I agree. As many rumors as we've heard over the years -- and as juicy as this one and others have sounded -- nobody has ever been able to "hang on to" anything. If it existed, it would be out there.
